How much water do you drink ??

I have been going through posts and I seriously dont think I am drinking enough :confused:

I am doing approx 2.5 L a day! and I can see everyone is drinking a lot more.

Does that explain why on the ketosticks the colour has gone darker :eek: this week, even though I am drinking the same as last week.

This is only my second week doing CD.

Off to pour some more H-2-0! :)

Hey Deb ... you're really getting stuck in here aren't ya! :D

2.5L is the recommended MINIMUM on CD but it's generally advised to drink more. It seems that the more you drink - the more you shrink so get glugging!

I try to get at least 4L down per day ... some amazing individuals get 6L down :eek:

(Just off to get a glass of Eau de Cambridge!)

I would strongly recommend you lift your intake to 4 litres as that will make a real difference to the loss and also tends to help with constipation and general feelings of hunger.

My CDC used to do LL to start with when she was losing, so she says 4.5litres. I've never been a water drinker and this has been the hardest part of the diet for me. But I ring the changes with flavourings, hot and cold, bouillon, coffee etc. and I usually manage it. Also I try not to have too much late in the evening, I HATE getting up in the night!

Hi ya, i posted a thread about this not so long ago and there was loads of good comments and suggestions.

I drink 5 litres a day ( have found a 5 litre water bottle!! and i carry it around with me everywhere!)

The darker the ketostic then generally it means your de hydrated..

I have turned into waffle mode! Will go now

Well I drink at least 3 litres a day, 3-4 litres on a bad day but 5-6 litres on a good day. :D

Its so true the more you drink, the more you shrink..
First week I started a few months ago I lost 8lb & I was drinking 3 litres a day.
When I re-started the 2nd time around I was drinking at least 4-5 litres a day & had some chicken ever day (was ttom so needed food) & I lost 10lb.

Everyone is different though.

I am a big water drinker anyway ... I do about 5 or 6 litres a day ... 3 of those between 9 and 5:30 and the rest at home ... helps me combat hunger pains .. hoping that the amount of water I drink will give me a good loss this week .. my first weigh-in Monday ... will let you know! ;p

I was definately drinking 4l over the summer but now it is cold and darkness has drawn in, I think I'm only managing 3 litres.

OH MY LIFE!! I have just bought some perfectly clear strawberry and Kiwi!!!! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM its absolutely gorgeous! I cant stand the CD flavourings as i think they taste like im sucking a tablet sweetener.. is this maybe because im not putting enough in?? hmm

Anyway, is everyone sure i can drink this ?? its that nice it seems like im being really naughty!!! also does this count to my 5 litres a day, and would it be terrible of me if 4/5 of my litres was this yummy water???

I try and get to about 5 litres each day, but I do spend a lot of time on the loo because of this :)

Water is the answer to everything!!! Fills you up and stops the temptation and the headaches
