It just hasn't worked for me. I've followed to the letter most weeks. Last week was my birthday, and I went out for 2 meals, making good choices. Iam no lighter than when I started at class. I have stuck to it. I am absolutely gutted. Was hoping to be a stone lighter by now. I am going to finish christmas like a hippo. I am fed up with sayng no to everything, eating all my SW friendly stuff, and the scales not moving! Well i tink my christmas may just start here!! No point in puttin myself through it any more. It's not working. I've got a CD, but to go and cry is just daft. This week I was 100%. Was convinced I will have lost my birthday weight. Put on another half. How? It's obviously just doesn't work for me. I think I will ask for a refund of thr 1st 4 weeks and cut my losses. AAAAGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Have you done your food diaries? Has the consultant said anything to you so far? Are they on here to see? I'm really sorry you're not losing :(

Consultant has seen diaries and says they are good. Unfortunately I couldn't stay today as ahve to ick kids up from somewhere half way through IT. She will ring in week. I can put them on, but I ahven't strayed from plan. I just don't thionk anything but severely cutting food intake, and calories will work. May be I just shot my metabolism to bits over the years.

I'm also running around 20k a week, and having an average of 10 syns a day.

Just out of curiosity have you ever had your thyroid checked. I'm underactive and had loads of problems losing weight until it was sorted and I was on meds for it.
Just a thought, hope you work it out soon.
    Best wishes,
P.S Don't give up, at least your eating healthier foods which means your hundreds times healthier!

Sorry slimming world doesnt seem to be working for you,but i have noticed your bmi isnt that high only 27.3 which isnt high at all your slighly above so you are going to find it very hard to lose weight with not having that much to lose i would personally keep trying a few weeks but lower your syns like one week try lowering them 8 then if you still dont see any change try then lowering them to 5 goodluck i hope everything works out for you.

def post a food diary with every single tiny thing that goes in ur mouth, sometimes things u think are free arent etc. i always thougt creme fraiche was free...doh. Other than that, everyne is different and not everything will work for everyone, like said u are only a little over normal bmi so its always harder to drop weight. im surprised its sooo hard tho as u exercise so much...seems so unfair- u must be very pissed!

If you're doing EE, try alternating with green & red days. I try & do one green one red, but I do prefer green days.:)

:-( it is horrid when you try so hard and it does not move, I had a bit of a thunderbolt momment last week, I was reading a different diet book ( as you do) and it sort of mentioned the calorific value of foods, so eventhough you are sticking to plan are you choosing SS foods, SF foods, super speed and super free, the more you fill up on this (the lower the calorie intake) the better your loss will be, it is all well and good to say you can eat all this and loose weight but - as you and I found out if you do eat a lot without watching portion sizes and mess about a bit with the syns it wont work, not saying this is what you did, but in the last 2 weeks I have watched the sizes and the syns and lost 6.5 lbs I am gobsmacked, just give it a try, stop eating when you are full and cut your syns down to 5 dont give up xx we are all here for you, use us to vent your anger and then keep calm andcarry on x

Try having a go at two weeks of red and then two weeks green and see how you do. 2lts of water a day and have 10 to 15 syns eat one ss food at each food sitting.

Some do not lose on EE you need to find the plan that works for you. But try the red plan first and let me know hpw you do after two weeks. Count everything and weigh all that needs to be.

First thing I would say if you are serious about wanting to lose more weight, is that you need to stick to it.

Christmas is a coming as the Coke advert tells us, and even to STS through it would be an achievement!

What I would suggest, not knowing what your food diaries have been like, is maybe avoid EE for a couple of weeks, as it doesn't suit some people for some reason.

I would also suggest you up your daily syns to the maximum 15. With running all that distance during the week you will need MORE fuel (food) than most. Many people who don't lose on SW is ultimately because (perhaps ironically) they don't eat enough.

I hope you have a great SWC, but some are clearly rubbish! I would wholeheartedly recommend you post your diaries on here and have all of us cast our beady eyes over it - we are collectively the greatest SWC in the Universe and if anyone can find the problem we can :)

SW does work, for everyone, we just need to fine tune it for you. But we will. Just stick with it, and let us help you out :)

    All the best

Agreed with Phil - EE doesn't suit everyone. i did it when it first came out and lost nothing. My losses are slow with original (red) but if I stick to it I know I will lose something.

I gave the same advice to a lady at our group, and she had had enough of no loss. She was doing EE and having bread.
I suggested changing to red for a couple of weeks , uping water and stopping the bread.
Bobs your uncle, fannys your aunt and she lost 3.5 in two weeks.

I have had the same problems as you! I only have about 18lbs to lose and have followed a slimming world diet perfectly for 3 weeks and all I have lost is 1lb! I'm going to stick with it,though I'm not sure what to change! More syns, less syns?! I also do a lot of running, work out with a trainer and go to they gym 4-5 times a week,I was told I may be putting on muscle hence no weight loss!
I hope it starts working for you(and me) soon, good luck!

Have you tried taking your measurements? YOu could be losing inches even if it isnt showing as actual weight loss.

Thanks guys. I ahvew one more SW week left then 2 cristmas meals the following week. Then WI is Christmas eve. I shall try my best til then. If I put on weight following SW, what would I weigh without it. I do mainly red. But two HEXbs are probably more carbs than I would eat before SW. Last week I tried swapping carb HEXbs for stewed fruit hoping this would help. Perhaps it was worse. I will write my day to day diary on here. Thanks. If no joy, may ahve to go back to calorie counting. It may not seem alo to lose, but it is making me miserable.
