I am very scared !

Oh Sue - just got back from the UK and caught up here.

Absolutely blumin' fantastic. All our prayers obviously worked.

Big hugs from me to you and Paul. Thanks god the waiting is over.
Good luck for the 27th.

Thank you so much.

I feel very privileged to be involved with so many lovely people.

Tomorrow I visit the vampires at my local health centre for a blood test...........I promise you if they hurt me I will hurt them !!

Sue,

I am so delighted and relieved for you. That really is just the best news after such an awfully long and stressful wait (which you were incredibly dignified about). I thought your comments about the community here were lovely and touching.

Big hugs.

Just read this thread and it really touched me I'm so glad it's good news, shows what a hypercondriact I am whilst reading your thread I have a sore throat and thought oh no! It is scary how long people have to wait for appointments especially if you are young doctors tend to over look your symptoms, I am a trainee nurse so I do see all the good that the Health service do but I have also been a patient and not had a great experience but this was due to lack of staff but it's not good enough the powers above need to get Their priorities right....

all I can say is I will do the best I can for all my patients and I hope those around me will to, I'm so glad for you I love a happy ending!

Been away from Minimins for a while, but what fabulous news to come back to! I'm so pleased for you! :)

I may drink a glass of wine on your behalf - that makes it syn-free, right? ;)

I saw a different specialist today. He was a doll. What a great sense of humour.

Anyway, he asked me lots of questions. sat me in an examination chair and without any warning inserted a camera up my nose and into my throat. G0d , what a shock that was. It didnt' hurt, but boy was it weird. When he first inserted it I tried to hit him I was so shocked. It was like a physical assault.
He confirmed that he does not think it is a cancerous tumor but is a bit concerned that the mass is so hard.
I am to see him again in 2 months to see if it has grown or reduced.
There is a possibility it could be connected to a drug called zometa that I had intravenously, twice a year for 5 years. He is also looking into that.

He was such good fun ( apart from the camera thing ) and shook hands with both of us as we left and said what a pleasure it was to have met us.

He made me feel relaxed and confident.

Oh how lovely that you saw a specialist you felt so confident with and also that the news is still positive. How very reassuring x But the camera thing - holy moly, that does not sound good!!

Hi Sue,

Sounds like quite an experience! But I'm so glad you had a good rapport with the specialist, and that he's keeping an eye on you xx

I think I might have given him more than a hit - I'd probably have grabbed him by something in his nether regions to see how he liked that!

Glad the good news continues and that you get on with the new specialist.

good to hear of a nice doctor (minus the camera nose thingy) lol u get so many that just have the "get em in get em out" theory, keep us updated! :) xxx

That's so great that you got a great consultant. You seem to find that once you have got past all the fuss to get an appointment, the consultant is usally fantastic.
