I CANT do this

Its so so so hard

ALL i think about is food, and im seriously bored of the same three shakes every day!

Im at the end of week 1 (i havent been 100%) and all i can think is that im only at the beggining! I have weeks and weeks of the same tasteless mouth, constant peeing, cravings! The FACT the end is so FAR in the future is the thing depressing me :(

Also the fact im guaranteed to have loose ugly skin on my body :(

I just dnt see the incentive right now :(


The weight loss is amazing in the beggining! I know that but by about week 4-5 youd be better transfering to slimmers world because you lose 4-5lbs a week on slimmers world anyway

4 -5 lbs a week on SW is VERY unlikely David, in fact Ive never ever heard of anyone losing anything like that regularly on SW, but SW say the losses you can expect are 1 - 2lbs a week, as a man you might lose slightly more but youre still talking about 2/3lbs a week max... you wont get anything like the losses SW or WW than you get on a VLCD or we'd all be on them ;)

And if youre going to get loose skin on a VLCD then youll probably get it on SW too.

SW is a great diet (never worked for me personally) but there are a lot of success stories over there but if you go expecting to lose 4 - 5lbs a week youre going to be very disappointed

Hi David,

If you manage to get 3 or 4 days 100% you will start to stop feeling hungry (honest!)

Don't give up and keep going, there are plenty of inspirational people on here to help.

been on here agaes chuck i posted on yours other day, i'm on slimfast this week cos i feel crap but joining here 100% on monday morning.

awww good to hear, after the meal yesterday im back on it, finding today hard im starving

ive thought exactly like that too, but there becomes a point when you realise why you took such extreme measures in the first place. Your not happy with your weight, don't fight yourself.. you deserve this. Its hard, but it works, there is absolutely no doubt that if you stick at it 100% you WILL loose 1stone a month. If i could do it.. honestly, any1 can

I know but i see people on here in week 7-14 and theyre losing 1-3lbs a week! The same as slimming world, surely it would be better to transfer to that diet once your weight losss on here slows down!

£48 a week is a hell of of a lot of money to spend for just 1-3lb weight losses

Im sticking with it, im determined, im just feeling REALLY cold and REALLY miserable LOL

Not everyone has 1 - 3lbs weight losses though the averages on a VLCD are a stone a month - maybe a bit more for men - thats more than double SW estimates.

Im sure if you look around youll see people on weeks 7 - 14 with MUCH bigger losses than 1 - 2lbs honest :)

Stick with it if you can but if you cant, remember a VLCD isnt for everyone and if youd be happier on another diet, so long as you dont mind the much slower losses, then maybe its worth considering x

Thamx for the support guys, i know im fighting it atm but i am desperate to get this weight off, i just miss the social life and and looking forward to a hot meal at the end of the day! Im soooo impatient i prob need to just sit back and think back to when i was at my most desperate

my first weigh in is tommorow so maybe that will spurn me on!

It just feels like this week has dragged!

im also worried about putting the weight back on once its off!

i only lasted 2 weeks on it,,hottest day of the year it was and i was in bed with pj's dressing gown bed socks hot water bottel and huge duvet,,couldnt heat up at all,,hubby came up with a mug of milky coffe and toast and said that's it,,no more lipo trim,,i was devastated but knew i needed to get straight back into something else,,so i joined weight watchers,,talk about slow so slooooooowwwww but it's coming off 7 months later and i'm nearly there,,but only you know whats best for you and what you'd be happy losing:)

hang in there David it does get easier believe me :) , i've a very long way to go but im keeping focused on my goal and that & the forum here are keeping me going

I bet you'll do great tomorrow and that will keep you going but I do agree there are other diets out there if this one isn't for you. I've been finding it hard but my work colleague tonight said to me that it looks like I’ve lost weight (she didn't know I was going on a diet) and considering I’m this early into it I’m so happy and it's really motivated me to keep going!

Too hard??

Why your finding it so hard is your body will be addicted to carbs. You may not feel that but it will be why you couldn't stick 100%. it takes 3 to 4 days to get over carb withdrawal. Then it should be ok. Try not to think long term as you will get depressed. Try going week to week or even day to day and count every success and that should keep you motivated.

I bet you'll do great tomorrow and that will keep you going but I do agree there are other diets out there if this one isn't for you. I've been finding it hard but my work colleague tonight said to me that it looks like I’ve lost weight (she didn't know I was going on a diet) and considering I’m this early into it I’m so happy and it's really motivated me to keep going!
