I found my motivation...

Desperate to be slim!
I tried on 5 wedding dresses yesterday... they were all they had in my size in 2 shops (I'm an 18-20)
My 9 yr old sister said I looked like a princess, which made me laugh.
The thought that went through my head was "Less like Cinderella and more like Fiona from Shrek!"
So there we go... I found my motivation!!!

Thanks Natt. Just want to be happy when I look back at the photos with my grandchildren in years to come, not think I look awful.
Welcome to the Bride Club - i get married in October next year and I am delaying trying on dresses for the risk of bursting in tears at what I look like in a dress too small for me :(

Ive got a wedding fayre next month, might decide on styles then!!!! :D
I've already chosen my dress, venue, colours, cake............AND i'M NOT BLOODY ENGAGED YET! haha, I have issues lol! :D

Ellebear it definitely improved my motivation.
I didn't like how I looked, but everyone was so lovely in the shops (staff and other brides) saying how great it looked etc, so it was ok...
My biggest upset was the fact that I could hardly try any on! One of the girls at work though was an 18 when she got married, and had to try on size 12 dresses!
Most shops only seem to cater for up to size 16.
Oh yes... one more thing... wedding dress sizes are TINY!!! I wear an 18-20 and was trying on size 24 dresses. :(
Not the best confidence boost, but ok if you know that's the situation!!!
princess fi gets the thumbs up from me, lol.

your sister sounds like a right one to speak her mind! maybe it will help having her around, so you can get truthful criticism on a regular basis if that's what you need - my two brothers are very straightforward and it helps when they question me about slimming world. well, one is more interested in me making the cakes out of the magazines so he can eat them, and the other just HAS to ask 'how many syns are in that then?' if anything other than salad touches my lips!
