I am sorry to have to break it to you but you will definately not be able to have a night out and get away with it!
Once you start LL you will understand, but if you cheat on one thing, it will probably make you think you can cheat on others and you will probably fail.
I know that your social life suffers, but it was my social life that got me this fat in the first and the second place (this is my 2nd time on Lighter Life). Sadly I think it is time for me to realise that I can't go on abusing my body twice a week (dinner + drinks) and still expect to stay slim.
We all want to be able to cheat and get away with it, but that is what so great about LL, you know that if you cheat, you won't get away with it - it will show up.
Last time I did LL I was without alcohol for 32 weeks. Now that is a long time, sure, but you genuinely do get used to it. I used to need alcohol to help me get along with people (I used to be quite shy) but I just had to learn not to rely on having dutch courage.
LL is not like any other diet, you really have to re-assess your life, and not continue living the way you are used to - and adapt. If you really want to shift the weight, you will power through situations where you used to want a drink - trust me, I love a drink, but I just want to be thinner than I do tipsy!
