I shall run 100 miles!!

Brilliant going pinkie!

My knees are too sore to run today so I biked FAST down to the sea instead. Total of 6 miles and got all sweaty and had a lovely look at the beach. Easier than running! Lol

I am just so stunned that I am actually enjoying it, and can't wait till my next chance. I hope that feeling continues I really do. I am dreading week 7 though - they are sadists!!!

That was my second run of week 3 out of the way. My stupid GPS isn't working, and I'm sure I must be going further - but as I'm not sure I'm sticking to 2 miles at a time. Hopefully it will gee itself up before week 4. Erk!

If your GPS isnt working - you could try using a website like runkeeper.com or mapmyrun, plot in your route and it will tell you how far you've run. You can also use it to log all your runs as well - it tells you how far you've run in total, approx calories burned etc.

Google "couch to 5K" - its the best way to build up to running if you havent done it before. I started running just over 3 months ago, never thinking I could do it - I'm now running up to 5 miles at a time 3 times a week (and building up to even longer distances if I can) You can download a podcast to your ipod/mp3 player, or an app to your i/phone/smartphone. It will start you off walking and running at intervals, gradually building up the lengths of the runs and decreasing the lengths of the walks with the ultimate aim of running 30mins non stop. But you can always repeat a week if you arent ready to move on.

There is also a couch to 5K team in the teams folder if you wanted some support there.

And make sure you have a decent pair of trainers

Ok, thanks very much.
Can't wait to start!!!

Another 2 down. I start week 4 of the C25K either tomorrow or Monday. As much more of the time is spent running, I'm kind of hoping I might go a little further. Though I'm currently considering that 5 min interval with a not insignificant amount of trepidation.
