I shall run 100 miles!!

I'm back!

No running though - rain on the first day put paid to that - there were pockets of dry bits towards the end, but I was hanging by that point, so no fear of running.

May well have to take a few days off from it now I'm back - the combination of walking through treacle like mud for some of the time, plus traipsing there and back loaded down like a pack horse has given me a little main in my hip that could probably do with being rested for a few days.

Glad you followed my advice! V. jealous of Glasto - who did you see? I saw loads of it on tv and one year I will go back just so that I can experience the Chemical Brothers there....

That was a 5k pb on treadie! I guess next time I'll have to run 3.2 miles to even my numbers out. It's gone v. quiet on here!!

Did it in 54:20 - chuffed to bits!

Although I wore my GPS watch and when I uploaded to Runkeeper, the distance came up as 5.82 miles - a 10K should be nearer 6.2 miles.

A minor detail, still thrilled with my time.

Could have done without the rain though.

As you are local, you might like to know this - I went to "Cook" on Whiteladies Road - they do frozen quality meals - thought I'd treat us to one for a nice dinner at home.

We got the Beef Bourguignon - just put the details into the syns calculator and on EE with beef as the free food it came up as free!

Though not sure the Sticky toffee pudding we bought from the Co-op for afters is going to be quite so healthy!!

Well done on your run - 1hr 5 is still pretty damn fine - especially on bumpy wet grass in the rain
 
Congrats! Thats awesome! And thanks for the tip about the food! Will definitely look out for that! :) I'm killing already though, as didnt do my normal stretches and haven't ran in around 2.5wks! Eek tomorrow is going to hurt! I checked out weather on bbc and was supposed to be sunny and hot ish so out came the shorts and t-shirt lol my trainers were soaked before I started the "warm-up". Poured down mid way too, just ended up chucking water siren me as couldn't ruh and drink out of a plastic cup ahh well couldn't have got any wetter!

This was my R4L - did it in a new PB of 31.31 so very happy, especially as I had forgotten that most of the bloody race was run on grass - nice and kind to my joints but totally knackering in the hot sun!

Went down Whiteladies Road afterwards and passed that "Cook" shop, but forgot about your post, Mandy and didn't go in - annoyed now! xx
