I shall run 100 miles!!

I totally agree Fairy, you will be fine. I think most people new to racing have those concerns. I will probably start having those thoughts in a week or so before my race. I have 28 days until my half at Silverstone. I am pretty gutted I cannot run outside, but the paths are still covered in snow, so not worth the risk of slipping.

Well I survived my first ever 10K race - Didnt come last!!! have to say it was tough enough , the course was going uphill for the first 4K, so I took it easy and combined it with a bit of walking. I wont break any records on my time but I finished the race running towards the finish line. To think that 6 months ago I could barely run 1K never mind 10K!!

Hi clavicles
It was only after when I had finished the race that it dawned on me what I had done. It really is a great feeling of having achieved something. I have found that it has given me more motivation to improve on certain areas like maybe introduce a bit of hill work during the week and definitely to drink a lot more water!!

If anything the race has really motivated me to keep going. Went out for a 6K run last night and I found myself flying along.

Sure at this rate I might even contemplate a marathon for 2013 - there aint no stopping me now :) :)
