Mine would be to not set impossible goals and thus set yourself up for failure. Getting fat didn't happen overnight so neither will getting slim. Enjoy the journey, however long it takes and you will get there in the end.

Dear Fatty, I really like that one. You are so right. Trouble is we always want instant results and thats just not going to happen. You are doing extremely well judging by your ticker, so your positive attitude obviously works!

My advice - keep off thise scales as much as poss. I have gone off the rails too many times just because the scales have jumped up a lb for no obvious reason!

Don't beat yourself up for being human. I've learnt the hard way that worrying about something you cannot change doesn't help. What does help is to acknowledge the problem, face it and fix it. xxx

Try to break the daily weighing habit - it is worth it just to see a loss on WI day when you least expect it.

Keep a food diary, and carefully plan out each day's menu - I have found mine to be invaluable.

Take each day as it comes, each day is a day nearer to a slimmer you.

Keep posting on the forum, it keep's me focused and I have made so many lovely friends too.

If you're being tempted by naughty things like chocolate, biscuits, cakes etc, focus your mind on all the great foods that you are allowed to have in unlimited quantities that will fill you up just as much and leave you feeling much better.

For example, if I'm out at a buffet lunch and there are all sorts of naughty goodies there to tempt me, I just remind myself of the lovely, satisfying slimming world meal I'm having later that will fill me up. Why give in to temptation when there is so much other yummy food that I'm allowed to eat? Also, the best thing is if I really want to have something naughty, I can use my syns to have it.

Oh some wise words of wisdom from you all!

As far as SW goes, my top tip is to mix up your days, e.g. each week I do a mixture of Green, Red, Mix to Max and EE. It seems to work best for me.

I am trying to think of something very wise to say about life in general... still thinking...

...Enjoy your family. Cherish moments with your children. They are so special and the time whizzes by all to quickly.

With regards SW I am totally lost if I don't fill in my food diary and I also like to have meals planned ~ that way I feel in control.
