Independence Day Challenge!!

I'm going to get some mix a mousse tomorrow I think, is it easy to mix up? Enjoy it lovely :)

There are some really positive vibes coming through today. Well done everyone for resisting temptation - you're all wonderful! :D

I'm behind with my water today, but am determined to finish it all before bed (should plan for a broken night's sleep then! lol)

Thelma I have good days and bads with water, just make sure you dont rush too much too quick, I have litre bottles set out and have my first bottle with my breakfast and the next about tenish, next lunch time and so on.

Fatfighter its so easy you just use 5ml of water with your shake and put a spoon full of the mouse mix in with it blend it with icy cold water and bang it in the freezer for five ten minutes, I thought it was too blamonge like that so I use 6ml of water and its like angel delight and I prefer it like that. You will find your own consistancy with playing with it.
 
I think I might try the mix a mousse, I've been really struggling with my shakes recently. I'm fine with the bars/tetras and porridge, but the shakes..... I think it's because I have to wash the hand whisk 2 times a day haha and I don't find them filling enough!

Hope everyone has managed OK today, with the enivitable BBQs and food smells in the air. Today has been a bit of a tester for me and I'm glad I got through it.

Not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow, praying for 3lbs so I'll be under the 11s. That would be soo brilliant! I don't think I could handle another 2lb loss for two weeks in a row - not on Sole Source anyway. Far too demotivating :(
 
I shall definitely be getting some mousse then. I was just scared it'd go lumpy. I love the chocolate tetra's frozen, I see that as a real treat and they last ages!
Good luck for tomorrow Luci, I'm weighing in too but even if I don't get my 5lb loss it'll be a happy day coz I'm going to see Nickelback tomorrow evening :D
 
been out walking with my hubby today, had wi lost 0.5 lb, not surprising after the week I've had Tuesday someones birthday cakes, chocolates and crisps, Thursday left over goodies from a meeting Friday someone leaving work (buffett provided) all very hard to resist, and I have to admit I have nibbled quite a bit. Hope that it doesn't show on the scales next week! On holiday this week due to half term so hoping to do better and spend most of it at the gym!

OOO lucky you have a fantastic time, I went to see Metalica in February and they were brilliant. Think you will like the mouse

Thelma - you're working on Bank Holiday monday? :eek: Your work doesn't deserve you!

Hope everyone is OK today. Have my WI in a few hours. Can't believe I've been doing this for four weeks already, the first few were so slow but the last two have zipped by! Not so good for me as my first exam is two weeks today :cry: But my birthday is four weeks today so I'm just going to pretend the exams don't exist haha.

Anyone had a WI yesterday or today? How has everyone found the bank holiday weekend? I know it can be tough but stick to it! I'm really glad I have a weigh in on Monday as it helps keep me on the straight and narrow over the weekend, (something I particularly needed on this bank holiday) but I think CD has proved I have more mental strength than I'd anticipated, because yes I had the odd nibble of food in the first two weeks when I felt I really needed it, but I never wavered from SS+ food. I can't believe I haven't had chocolate, coke, or bread/potatoes in a month. This was like my main food groups before!

One weird thing that has come out of CD, is that the smell of meat is making me feel sick? :confused: I've never been a veggie or anything like that, but I do only eat chicken, turkey and duck (no I don't just really hate birds lol I just don't like the other meats), and the odd bit of bacon, but now they smell a bit eggy/gone off to me all the time. Weird.

Biggest thing I've been craving on CD? Not chocolate or crisps or cake, or sandwiches or chips, but CHEESE. Lol! Can't wait for my cottage cheese allowance haha! I bet I end up hating it! :p

Good luck on the WI Luci. Am sure you'll do the 3lbs. Good luck with your exams too. I've craved meat and protein a lot more on this diet and not been bothered by carbs really. Other way round normally. The main thing I crave is my choc tetra lol. If I have anything else I feel I've missed out.

I changed my CDC this week and also my WI day from Friday to Monday, so not sure how much I'll lose in 5 days. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

Had a nice bank holiday, although challenging with all the nice smells...Been quite tired as well, but it won't last forever.
Bought a gorgeous size 14 skirt that cheered me up. Might have a nap soon though!!!

Hope everyone is having a nice bank holiday weekend, as I know they can be tough x
 
Got my weight in tomorrow, already sneaked on the scales so kind of know already but will see what tomorrow brings first.

Wow that was a hard one had a BBQ at my parents and it was all gorgeous kids and hubs had a great time, so for a treat my husband has just given a full body exfoilation, body rub and body wrap feel so much stronger resisting.

Think im retaining water as its nearly my TOTM so dont think there will be a great loss these next two weeks, but, rome wasnt built in a day so im not too bothered.
 
Hey everyone, just had my fourth weigh in and loss 3 pounds!! Exactly what I wanted, so now I've lost 17 pounds in four weeks AND have completed my May challenge because I'm now in the 10's!!!! :D :D So so so pleased!

Sorry, Alexmummy - think I cross posted with you. Keep your chin up about your WI - I know it's cold comfort but you could still be losing inches even if the pounds are slow to disappear.

Thank you Witchy! :) I'm so pleased. I hope the losses don't start slowing down as I'd like to keep up losses of 3/4lbs for the next month or so. After that, I'm happy with 1/2 pounds a week on 810. It's just that SS makes you give up so much, it would be nice to have a reward for it lol!

However, I've realised today I'm falling into the trap of expecting too much and being disappointed with what are still great losses. 2lbs is still fantastic, but last week I was disappointed with it.

For example, I was just talking to my friend about SS, and was telling her the losses were an average of a stone a month. I was saying if I could manage just 11lbs this month, in four weeks time when I'd have a weigh in on 22nd June (my birthday), I could go onto 810 plan, as I'd be 10.2 stone!

And then I've just looked at my summer solstice/birthday challenge, which I set myself during week 1, and I wanted to get to 10.7 stone. I thought it was unachievable at the time, and knew if I got that or even close to it, I'd be absolutely over the moon. Now all I'd have to lose this month to get to 10.7 stone, is 6lbs. But if I did lose 6lbs this month, I would be SO disappointed, wouldn't I? Whereas only a few weeks ago, this seemed miles away.

I need to stop being so hard on myself, and I hope none of you are either, because 6lbs a month is STILL good. Sometimes you just have to think back to your first week and what you would have been more than happy with. I've realised that I HAVE done well, and I can't change what the scales say - as long as I've done everything I'm supposed to, I can't have done anymore.

I'd rather lose 6lbs a month on Sole Source than be gaining 6 pounds through eating rubbish like I did before. So I WILL stick to this. No more negativity, no matter what the scales say! :) xxx
