Independence Day Challenge!!

Hey lovely Luci, your working yourself up over nothing honey, firstly you were away from home without your packs, you need to eat to survive, starving yourself is not healthly and would give you a bad headach and you would be worse for your exam.

You totally did the right thing, if you ever need to chat about food or feelings you cannot express on here up in the community bit in the blue band, click on groups, us butterflies have created a group so when we have bad days we can go in there and pour our hearts and and there is a food thread if anyone needs to speak out etc.

Dont beat yourself up for nothing, you are doing so well it wasnt even a blip it was a circumstance, hope that puts it in a better light for you and hope really hope you are feeling ok honey *massive cuddle from the witch*

Scojos - haha :D, a lot of people have said that to me. Seems everyone loves Disney and who can blame them!

Alexmummy - well done!!! That's a fab loss and nice to see it's happening for you.

Luci - try not to stress hunnie. Remember you initally talked about what to do regarding CD and you even considered stopping whilst doing exams. At least you haven't done that! Cut yourself some slack. You need to learn eventually how to introduce food, like you say, so don't worry :) Concentrate on getting through the exams and you can get properly back on track afterwards. If you ever need to chat, feel free to PM.

Witchy - cracking loss hun. Those lbs are really dropping off you. Not surprised you feel great, you're doing fab :D

Just got back from my WI. It's always hard to judge because it's at 3:30 so often depends on if I've had a bowel movement, how much water I've had, how much coffee etc. I don't bother not drinking or not having shakes before I go as I don't see the point.

According to my scales it's a 3lbs loss, but according to hers it was just under 4lbs, but I've gone by mine all the way through (morning WI) so am sticking with that.

3lb loss on SS+ and the previous 2 weeks were 2lb losses on SS. I think the extra meal and a bit more gentle exercise really works for me :)

Hey Liz that is brilliant your doing really well.

Thanks Witchy :) also just noticed you only have 1lb to go!!! Bl**dy hell girl ;)

Right, I said I'd catch up with everyone so here goes!

Thelma - Have a lovely time on holiday! I thought she meant a gazelle as in the deer type thing too, thought she was going mad there for a sec lol! Good luck on your impending weigh in :)

Alexmummy - Well done on losing 3lbs!! I know that must have meant a lot as you seem to have losses like me, usually 2lbs. You're obviously working very hard, well done :)

Witchy - Thank you so much for your lovely words of advice and support. You're totally right, I had a chat with my CDc today and she was really great, made me feel much better. I also had a weigh in today and lost 2lbs, which I thought would be much worse, and I can tell I'm retaining water/gained a little after yesterday so I actually lost more this week, possibly 3lbs. Which is a positive! I read through the butterflies thread and it was really nice to see everyone being supportive of each other, it made me feel better about things. In the grand scheme of things, I have lost 21lbs - a stone in a half - in 6 weeks, and although other people may have lost more on SS, it's still coming off for me. I'm just hoping that on 810 I don't end up losing like a pound a week, cos I'm eating so little right now and not having amazing losses :( Your losses though, have been incredible!! You're only 1 pound away! I hope you don't leave us because you'll undoubtedly reach target next week!

Watergirl - You're right, I was going to come off CD... and I wouldn't have had the 2 pound loss I did if I had! I know what you mean about finding it hard to judge the weigh ins, cos I have mine at 2 o'clock and have already had breakfast, sometimes drunk quite a bit of water etc. Amazing loss tho this week, you seem to be doing even better on SS+ so far! I feel I should probably be on SS+ cos my body doesn't seem to agree with SS... but if I carry on at 2 pounds a week, I'll only be on it for 3 more weeks anyway, which isn't too bad.

Thanks both of you for making me feel better, hope you're well xxxx

Hey Ruth well done on a great loss.

Luci im so glad your feeling better about it and wow great loss too, I promise I wont leave as you lot were the first people to make me feel so welcome here so after this challenge is over we have to set another one, they really keep me focused and I love finding our thread every day.

Yes the ButtERFlies are great some really lovely supportive ladies there which we need on this long journey.

Hope you are all well and enjoying your new bodies xx

Thelma - Have a lovely time on your holidays :)
Witchy - 1lb to go - wow! You've really gone for it girl! Well done!
Watergirl - SS+ obviously suits you :)
Luci: glad you're feeling a bit better about things and well done on 2lbs off :)
At WI on Sunday I had a 5lbs loss :) I had a lovely time when I was away, wish I didn't have to come back! On Monday we walked miles and I had a SS+ meal of chicken and veg. Yesterday we didn't walk quite so much so I didn't feel the need to have a meal. We took my mam and OH's mam to see the venue where we're getting married and they both loved it as much as we do, despite their initial pessimism about us getting married in Scotland in December lol.

Aw Vickie well done on your loss too and oooo sounds like you had a great time, so glad. Are you having fun preparing for you wedding.

I cheated my hubby suprised me with wedding in Cuba when he proposed, he had already bought the tickets, all we had to do was buy a wedding dress and suit and turn up for the holiday at Sandals, it was amazing, then when we got back cos it was Valentines when we got married (my birthday) my mum planned a suprise party at our local hotel with all rose petals and heart balloons and roses everywhere, I even had a gothic red and black wedding cake surrounded by black and red roses and strawberry and blackberries (sounds mad) but it looked truly amazing, will try and find a pic of it for you. You will have an amazing time.

That sounds amazing, I would love to see a pic. Will upload one of our venue later too :)

how romantic you lot are!!
i saw in a mag (woman?) they are retaking wedding photos for people who have lost loads of weight since their wedding - i was 8 months pregnant do you think that counts:p;):D?
i lost 1.5lbs on sw this week - strugging with gall stones and pain, called cdc and she said i couldn t go back on cd due to "medical" issues.
my gp would have to sign a consent form - which she would never do until i see specialist:rolleyes:.
i actually only wanted to do cd for nutrients, my diet is very restricted at the mo- rice cakes, muller lights and jelly! not v exciting is it-lol!!
really i should have lost 1 stone - but seriously, my skin is dry and im really tired all the time, its like a permamant day 3 arrgghhh!!1
well done on all your amazing losses !
water girl - i am a serious disney a holic and know FAR too much, if you need any guidance feel free to ask, too many visits and too much time planning my hols (ds 9 has aspergers so all our holidays were planned military style!) means i am a hive of really useless info!!

Scojos if you can have 1 CD shake a day for nutrients whilst pregnant I don't see why you couldn't have the same. Odd!

Luci - you've not got long to go at all now, like you say. SS+ isn't exactly much more exciting, it's just I seem to have more energy which is good! Glad you're okay hunnie.

Ruth - congrats on another good loss!

Witchy - know what you mean about looking for this thread. I find it really motivational.

Vickie - that's a fantastic loss, well done and good for you on all the walking. Not always easy on this diet. Shows it can be done when you go away.

Scojos - sorry to hear you're in pain. Must be horrible and sounds like a bland food plan! Still, if it works then that's for the best. You've done well with 1.5lb loss on SW anyway hun - I only lost 2lb the week before last and the one before, so that's great going.
Thanks for the offer of help with Orlando. Needed you at the start really!!! Got it all booked now thankfully - flight with BA, 1 bed exec suite at the Point Orlando Resort Hotel, tickets to Universal and Disney, Discovery Cove swim, car, hotel at Gatwick and parking... all done!!!

I am a military planner too :) Bought the Orlando 2009 book by Steve someone or other and it lists busy days, so have done a plan (including rest days) for the time there. Even got a Wallmart shopping list already - how sad am I?

Hope you're all well today girls. Went to Alton Towers yesterday and did so much walking - am aching like crazy.

Bought some more Palmers skin firming cream and also the bath oil. Normally put Bio Oil in, but am running low and want to try something different.

How's everyone else's firming creams going? xxx

watergirl- consider wegoshop.com
brilliant!
DC is great once, to expensive and over hyped IMHO.
always go against the flow- find out where the EMH are, and avoid like the plague!
get up early, nap and eat light. good advice for any holiday!!

Ah Liz your holiday sounds fab! My brother is off there in October for his honeymoon - I drew the short straw and get to look after my twin nephews (they'll be 18 months) for the 2 weeks whilst they're away!

Thanks Scojos. Site looks good! Managed to get DC for £150 each, which I was pleased with. Agreed on the expense, but hopefully a once in a lifetime thing. I don't even generally drink alcohol when I have theme parks to go to in the morning. Am up at the crack of dawn. BF has no idea what he's let himself in for!!!

Vickie - poor you! I'd be gutted. Quality time with family just doesn't compare to Orlando lol

How's everyone doing? This thread seems a little quieter of late - reckon people are enjoying the sunshine!!

Just taken the dog for a walk. BF has gone to Sainsburys and I'm about to go on x-trainer. Went to yoga yesterday for the first time in a while and am aching like crazy. Was planning on going again this morn, but too sore, so will leave it till tomorrow.

Not lost any weight at all this week so far (daily weighing), but focusing on exercise from here on in, so as long as the inches go that's all I care about.

Thinking about starting my own exercise blog, as I am a typical exercise-phobe and never do anything. Am on a mission to be ultimately fit for Orlando park walking.

Hope everyone's having a nice weekend so far x
