Insane Ramblings on Route to being Fit & Fabulous Forever

morning shelly
hope you have a great day hun the sun is coming out to shine here mmm it will cause i going to work

Oh Shelley, no need to apologise for having a moan on here! We all understand the disappointment of the scales when we've been really good throughout the week. Well done for the 1lb off though! It is still a good loss, just not the one you were expecting but I'm sure that will come. Just do as you have been and you'll be rewarded as before. Glad you enjoyed your girlie lunch out yesterday and got well deserved compliments! xx

Surely it'll be lean gains you'll be making now? Do you measure your body fat ratio? I would suggest you do now you've not got much to lose and you are interval training etc. I'm pretty certain that most sites about weight loss/fitness recommend measuring your body fat percentage at this point because scale weight it harder to take off.
I've read the same--very good advice! With all the exercise you do, I'd be surprised if you weren't making lean gains. And of course there's no need to apologise for a whinging post; you know we all understand the disappointment. :)

I just looked at body fat monitors on Amazon, and the first one that came up said it wasn't for sale to people under 18. I wonder why! What sort of illicit use are teenagers finding for body fat monitors?! :8855:

Evening & thanks again lovely Minimins friends for your lovely comments

Feeling decidedly confused - felt like Friday all day as I'm usually off on a Thursday so sure will be very grumpy at having to go to work tomorrow. But very nearly at the long weekend. Only aboput 12 more working hours to go ;)

If it carries on giving you these results, yet you feel slimmer and fitter (whichv you no doubt are) I'd highly recommend popping to on a body fat monitor.
Glad you had such a great day with your friends. No wonder they are complimentary, cough 12 stone cough. xxx

I know I'd take reduction in inches & size rather than the numbers. I've never been very certain that body fat monitors are any good. My scales (which are hidden so I don't weigh in the week!) do read it but if you measure 3 times they are widely different. My previous gym had the skin calipers to measure but they are inaccurate on me thanks to saggy excess skin

Thats bizarre isn't it?!

Well done on the pound off !
It doesn't seem much but it's still a loss although saying that if I had worked hard I would be disappointed too , but at least it wasn't a gain then that would be confusing!
That hotel chocolate looks lush and fudge in it too!
Hope you have a fab bank holiday weekend! :)

Thats will power - since Christmas

The evil duo are still in the freezer unopened!

You too x

The chocolates look so nice (I know I'm late)!

Tomorrow is groceries day, I'll see if I can find something similar. The problem is that I always check the calories... numbers are such a disappointment in life. First the scale, then the calories, and age... and you name it.

Agreed but we can change the scale number which makes the age number easier to hide. If only there was a way to make chocolate no calories we'd be fine but heyho 2 out of three isn't bad ;)

Lazy start - woke at 5 and considered the gym but instead got a mug of caramel coffee & my SW mag then lazed in bed for a bit.

Did some exercises DVDs then lovely SW "fry up" brekkie. Wandered into the city as needed to pay in a cheque and Mum had sent me a voucher for 20% off at M&S. Needed a new belt (to help hold up trousers!) was delighted to find I needed size small :8855: Also got some running bottoms & pack of "leisure" pants just nice to have something to slob about in. Looked at few other things but nothing grabbed me!

Also had a wander in House of Fraser looking fo possible wedding outfits - saw a beautiful Phase Eight dress. Two in fact. But the one I liked best was £325  Part of their special high end range. So didn't even dare try it on! But there maybe more sales before the wedding?!

Popped into Iceland and got some more SW sausages. They had several of the meals for the first time but I didn't bother. I did get massive punnet of strawberries. Going to have them with Quark mixed with white chocolate options to snack on during Eurovision and maybe a few Hotel CHocolat caramels

The sun has appeared now so might go out for a walk before dinner to make the most of it

Sounds like a good chilled out day :) I love a SW 'fry-up'. Weather has been lovely today, good for walk!

I was hoping to get some strawberries today, but Sainsbury's had sold out! So had to get raspberries and blueberries, will be snacking on them during Eurovision. Will be watching it on my own now as my friend is poorly, so will probably be on here at the same time lol.

Sounds like you've had a fab day. You've just reminded me I have no snacks for Eurovision! Gods sake. Strawberries and quark sounds like heaven, perfect for this sunny weather we've had today. Enjoy the Song Contest!

Did get out for a walk :)

Had lovely recipe from magazine for tea Cajun spiced salmon with mango couscous. I served it with salad rather than broccoli they suggested.

Have frozen new coconut with dark chocolate for pud. Then strawbs & quark, cheese & apple, chewy delight & possibly chocolate as nibbles. Looking forward to nibbles more than music!!

Evening Shelley, sounds like you've had a perfect day hun :). Please can you tell me, how does one exercise `portion control ' over Hotel Chocolat ? :giggle: The bunny wants to know :D xx

Ooo, the salmon looks lush! Is that from the new mag? Definitely need to try that!

I really surprised myself by managing ;) Tonights possible treat are a pack of dark chocolate salted caramels. Slightly easier as 14 syns for the whole pack so even if I can't stick with half not a disaster :8855:But have loads of treats stacked up and stuffed after dinner so may not get to them!

Yup got it in class this week. Had already got salmon for today but was inspired. Amazing with cajun spices & lime. So pleased have another bit to have cold with salad tomorrow :)

Corrrrr ! How did I miss that ? That looks delish Shelley :p, when can I come for tea ? :D xx

Anytime you like Kay xx

Popped to shop on my walk to get some pop for Eurovision too. Not having gin as all syns allocated to nibbles!

Wow, food porn, love it!

It's so nice when we see that we can get smaller sizes, isn't it? My first "diet happiness" was when I could find clothes in the normal section at C&A -- it was like a whole new world!

I was re-reading your very first post yesterday and it just came to my mind that the wedding, which motivated everything, is now so near. You'll be the most fabulous in the pictures :)

8 weeks today I'll be there - suspect might be drunk by this stage of proceedings ;)

I'm so pleased it motivated me - otherwise I'd be sat here at 23 stone worrying about what on earth I was going to wear.

Although on the plus side the old me would be having B&J / pringles & dips / copious alcohol / Cake & chocolate to wait eurovision with

I'd take the slimmer me & less boutiful snacking everytime!
