is this normal

with all the water we have to drink some people do find they feel bloated in the first week then your body will start to get rid of all the excess water properly and you will feel great :) you may also get 'bunged up ' and this can make you feel uncomfortable x

Yes, I think it is. I'm on day 2 TS and feeling a bit bloated myself. I reckon it will sort itself out over the next few days.
Good luck, stick with it.

Its all part of the readjustment - Your body is initially confused, it takes time to get the message ' no more food' for a while. It protests, gurgles, hangs on to the water, feels bloated etc.
Be kind to it, its adjusting. Give it some more water - that actually helps. Once you start to wee out the pounds it gets the hang of it and stops protesting quite so much. It also gets used to the idea of no food and stops sending hunger signals - when this happens you are liberated. Apart from the appetite stimulation of the sight and smell of food - for which we are genetically programmed to respond - you can start to live without the need to graze.
Good luck
