Italian HELP???

Hi,

Am now eating here Carluccio’s Food | The Authentic Italian Restaurants and Online Food Shop tonight and really having trouble with what to go with and how to syn. On an EE day.

Pleas help, my brain's just not working today! :cry:

just having a look at the menu, and not sure about the syns, but maybe

pasta all a pu ttan esca £7.50​

Small pasta tubes with a traditional spicy sauce of tomatoes,
olives, capers and anchovies.​

BRANZINO CON SALSA E PATATE£11.95​

Fillet of sea bass pan-fried with a tomato salsa and
sautéed potatoes.​

bistecca di bu e con pa tate £14.95​

10oz Bone in rib steak, chargrilled and served​

with rosemary potatoes and pepolata - red pepper sauce.

you'd maybe be best asking how things are cooked though if you really want to stick to it, or do a flexible syn day xx

Olives, no garlic breads
Starter - bean soup (syns for olive oil) or tuna salad
Main - pasta with tomato based sauce (nor lasagne or ravioli) or seafood pasta with salad or bean side dish, dressing on the side (you should probably allow more syns for olive oil in pasta sauce).

You can have one tbsp extra virgin olive oil for a HEB so this could help keep the syn value down

How does that sound? Whatever you decide I hope you enjoy your meal.

I would go for the steak with a salad instead of the potatoes or syn them??
