Another 1lb off for me - I'm weighing in most days on the Wii so just updating as and when rather than having an official weigh in day - but, I have lost 2lbs in 4 days which isn't bad going for this time of year!

Can I join please? I was a member here a few years ago, when I lost quite a bit of weight on the Cambridge diet. Of course, it has all gone back on (and more :sigh:). I am 13st 2lb and 5ft 5in, so just in the obese range :cry:.

This time, I want to do it nice and slow, in the hope it will stay off. I am using the Boots diet on-line, but the forum is a bit sleepy, so here I am.

I need to sort out how to do trackers and footers, but for the time being, my short time goal is to get my BMI into the overweight range and my medium target is to be 11st by 25th March. My long term goal is to be ridiculously skinny for a family party in June :D.

Looking forward to finding some like minded people on here.

Well done to all the losses so far :clap:

Imagine how chuffed I was when I weighed myself today to find that I've lost 6lb! I know it's early days and that most of it's probably water, but soooo pleased with that. It's given me a real boost.

I was going to swap from calorie counting to SW, but think I might just stick with cc and see how it goes now. With the help of My Fitness Pal I calculated my daily cals at 1280 and it seems to be working so far.

If you want to add me as a friend on MFP, my username is "snakesandladders2". May I ask how big a loss you're going for per week on MFP? I only ask because I get 1450 cals allotted for a 1lbs loss per week, and 1200 for a 2lbs loss.

Wow you are doing great! Stick at it!

I have joined mfp - hadnt heard of it before - but what a God send! Love it love it love it!!!

Cant seem to get all my levels at the required daily levels and seem to be a bit up on protein and fibre but the dr advised a high fibre diet for me (high bp) so im not too worried about that. I was about 89 calories under yesterday (day 1) and it told me off :D but im happy with that. Its calculated me at 1200 calories a day for a 2lb loss per week.

At the moment im committed ........... long may it continue!

I have also done my first run in many months!

Managed 1.9 miles in 25 minutes which is probably pretty cack compared to some ..... but the fact im still breathing after doing it makes my day (along with the 239 calories burnt) :woohoo:

Well done to everyone so far. Hope I get a result on my Saturday morning weigh but not to sure as I had a sts last week and belive that should really of been a gain as I was a proper little miss piggy over Xmas. I agree with what peeps are saying about Mfp it's been a god send to me. After giving calorie counting a go after yrs of on and off on sw, I feel it suits me better. My losses don't seem to be as big as they were with sw but I don't feel any way restricted and I belive with my weight coming off slow and steady at a 1lb a week netting 1200 calories ( even tho Mfp says 2lb ) I belive i will get to target at a nice steady rate with less chance of putting on lots if I fall off the wagon. Xx

It's less complicated too, right? I know people do really well on SW and that's great, but I don't get it! Isn't counting syns just a more roundabout way of counting calories? Or maybe I'm just too thick for it. (it just occurred to me that the group aspect of it is maybe a big advantage actually...)

I felt a bit like that counting the syns and h/e and was always writing down and adding up what I had ate. I mean sw does work as I've lost weight on it and know lots of other people have but I just got bored and started feeling restricted. But guess everyones different and what suits one person might not suit another. X
