Hi I've decided to keep a food diary so all you kind people can steer me right if I go wrong or get stuck in a rut. I find my problem is timing as my husband doesn't get home till 5 and then after doing all the stuff we need to it can be 7pm before I even start thinking about making dinner and at that time after a busy day at home with my 2 year old daughter and 6 month old puppy lol I just want something quick and easy and that can be dangerous lol so I am attempting some SW recipes. So the diary starts today.

Oops I didn't dare start last week as I've been very naughty as it was my husbands birthday. I will start today I promise.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll get stuck into it.

I have time issues too - my main excuse for lack of exercise actually, as I work full time, don't get home until 6 then I also have my 2 year old daughter to sort out for bed etc, before thinking about food! It pays to be very organised and I live by my meal plan I make for the week ahead so I know firstly what shopping to buy at our weekly Aldi shop so I stop wasting money, and also so I make sure I have stuff out of the freezer on time!

I see you've already lost over 9lbs that's amazing in such a short time! I'm sure the weight will come off in no time x

I have tried the food plan for the week and find I spend a lot more money that way but I have started making and freezing things so when it is 'one of those days' instead of slipping into bad and old habits e.g. bad frozen foods and takeaways I'll be able to throw a slimming world meal in the oven no prep time.

Yes bulk cooking is fab too and great if you find yourself short for time. I'm always batch cooking in my slow cooker, mainly on the weekend when I have time. Trouble is my freezers always full!

You'll be fine you just need to find what works for you x

Ok I know I started this thread and nothing happened but I am in a rut and nedd to do this to correct myself and get back on track so starting here and now heres my food diary.

Friday 30th May

Breakfast: weetabix with banana (HE a & b), yogurt and cup of tea with sweetener

Lunch: bacon, scrambled eggs and tomatoes

Drink: 1/2 litre of water so far...

I'm rubbish at keeping this up to date. But here we go again I think this is the 3rd attempt. Goos luck to me.

Breakfast : weetabix with banana and a yogurt
Lunch: pork, potatoes, carrots, peas, and gravy with cranberry juice
Dinner: bacon, sausage, egg, tomatoes and mushrooms, yogurt

Drinks: tea with sweetener and water

As I went over my syns by 2.5 I have to stick to 12.5 today.

Breakfast : weetabix with banana and a yogurt
Lunch : salad with tuna
Dinner: sw fish and chips followed by yogurt

Drinks: tea with sweetener, waters
Syns: crisps (4) 2 finger kit kat (5)

Told you I was crap at this but I have been keeping a food diary just not updating my online Food Diary but here goes everything from last pot up to this morning.

Sun 6th July

Breakfast: Tried the overnight oats from SW online...very nice so oats, berries and natural yogurt
Lunch: Pork, potatoes, parsnips, cauliflower, broccoli, sweetcorn with stuffing and gravy (full roast dinner lol) followed by rhubarb crumble and custard
Dinner: Salmon, potaties and more sweetcorn lol folled by a yogurt

Syns: 24 used but had 3.5 remaining from day before so 20.5


Mon 7th July 5.5 syns over

Breakfast: Weetabix with banana and a yogurt
Lunch: Ham salad sandwich with mayo (no butter)
Dinner: Leftover pork with chips and beans
Snacks: Cherries

Syns: 9 used


Tues 8th July

Breakfast: Weetabix with banana and a yogurt
Lunch: Didn't have any as I was late having breakfast
Dinner: Garlic chicken with potatoes and mixed vegetables
Snacks: Yogurt, pineapple and 2 finger kit kat

Syns: 5


Wed 9th July

Breakfast: Weetabix with banana and yogurt
Lunch: Ham salad sandwich with mayo no butter
Dinner: Homemade pork and apple burger with sw chips and beans
Snacks: Yogurt, pineapple and kit kat

Syns: including 10 unused yesterday 12 syns used today


Thurs 10th July

Breakfast: Overnight oats
Lunch: Tuna Pasta
Dinner: Quorn sausages (surprisingly nice), sw chips and curry sauce
Snacks: Yogurt, pineapple and kit kats

Syns 15.5 but had 3 from yesterday

PHEW done lol

Todays diary...

Fri 11th July

Breakfast: Weetabix with banana and yogurt
Lunch: Fish and chips (so my 2 yr old has told me lol)
Dinner: Chicken tray bake with rice...I want couscous but depends if I get to do my shopping today as I have none in.

Saturday 12th July

Breakfast: Weetabix with banana and yogurt
Lunch: Mexican chicken with vegetables
Dinner: BBQ ribs with wedges and bbq baked beans
Treats: SW cheesecake and Chocolate

Syns: Including unused syns from yesterday I have used 17.5 syns


Sunday 13th July

Breakfast: Weetabix with banana and yogurt
Lunch: Roast beef dinner with Yorkshires and gravy
Dinner: Pork shish kebabs with SW chips and swwetcorn
Treats: Kit Kat

Syns: After going over on my syns yesterday by 2.5 I have reduced my syns today and used 12.5

I had the chance to binge on chocolate but just didn't want it.

Breakfast: I feel like having something different today so instead of my regular stuff I think I'm going to try a small fry up.
Lunch: Haddock roast potatoes and mixed veg
Dinner: pork escalope mashed potatoes and mixed veg

Wednesday 16th July

Breakfast: Weetabix with banana and yogurt
Lunch: Cheese omelette and crème caramel
Dinner: SW Lasagne - like a div I forgot about the cheese on the lasagne and used my HE/B for Weetabix so lasagne has cost me 6 syns
Treats:

Syns: 16 but not sweating it because I had a syn free day the other day so under my weekly allowance just over my daily

Breakfast: fruit and yogurt
Lunch: Salad sandwich on wholemeal bread but it did have branston pickle on.
Dinner: Salmon fishcakes, SW chips and salad
Treats:

Syns: 1 syn (pickle) 3.5 syns (salmon fishcake)
