Kals new beginings Atkins journal

:D The before mentioned low carb book came this morning and it looks fab plenty of good recipes in it and more importantly you can get the stuff mentioned as it seems to be a British book hurrah!!

Well day 3 and i'm having signs of Dragons breath
no stinky pee yet though haha!

Absolutely don't feel hungry at all
are they sure this really is a diet
as I seem to be eating for England.

Been a bit of a smarty pants this morning and made a version of a low carb Paella using Cauli rice instead of the normal variety and fried off some onion and a pepper added a few prawn a bit of chicken and a splodge of Chorizo ( am assuming this was okay and not off limits otherwise complete muck up haha!! )also added a bit of saffron packaged it up to take to work in two tupperware and will stir the cauli rice in just before serving

Well still slowly but surely reading through the book
on the back it explains it saying Dr Atkins meets the Mediterrranean diet
and I'm up for that could be a lot of fun
Phaze one is pretty basic Atkins stuff ie 20g of carbs
Phaze two ( 2 wks later ) 25 g of carbs
I've a long way to go before reaching phaze 3 so I will save that information
for when I'm nearer to the goal post.

I'm thinking I'll be starting this on Monday ( carry on with induction till phaze one )
so look out for a bit of food porn that should very soon
be making it's way to my journal haha!!

Ive been lurking for a while,not posting on this forum as i cant possibly abandon my ww mates as ive been talking to them for well over a year! & the lovely kals who i already know!:D

Im off on holiday tomorrow so will get back to atkins proper when i get back.
Ive loved the last few weeks but the last couple of days ive fallen off the atkins wagon big stylee!
Wanting to not leave food in the fridge etc i havnt bought much meat.

Anyhoo kals i shall be back in a week or so to see how you are doing hun....any idea when you will weigh in?;) xxx

been extremely busy work wise, and also kind of ended up falling off of Induction :(
I did thankfully keep to a diet of sorts so managed to lose 4lbs this week.
Today I am 100% back on Induction and feel a bit of a numpty because I know I have all the symtoms to go through again :rolleyes:
If only I had stayed on in the frist place I could have advoided all that.

I seemed to have lost my way for a week or so but its taught me a valuable lesson
myself and carbs are not a happy marriage never felt more bloated in my life :rolleyes:

Welcome back into the fold Kals :D It is to forget just how bad carbs can make you feel. A couple of weeks after I started LC I had a little blow out. French bread & a packet of Walkers S&V so nothing too bad. God I felt drugged! I couldn't even see straight, not to mention how my IBS was affected :(
Never again. I was totally spooked.
My 'maintaining' is now caused by having booze I shouldn't have, so my treat is back to vodka & soda :D

:D Day two

And have the mother of a head ache this morning and mouth feels like the bottom of a budgies cage but apart from that haha!! can't complain much.

Had a trip to Waterstones today to have a look at the books etc ( bit of a bookworm ) and came home carrying a copy of the Harcombe diet and Dukan so that should give me plenty of material to read although to be honest they are all variations of the Atkins plan.

haha!! you don't have to beg me

I usually do about 15 minutes in the evening of toning up the arm area
the first is a standing press up
you use a wall, stand at arms lenght and put both palms on the wall, then lean into the wall hold for a count of 10 repeat x 10
Then with arms held either side at shoulder hight holding a couple of baked bean tins or medium water bottles filled with water
keep your arms held out for a count of 10 then lower then back up again for a count of 10
your arms feel like they are going to fall off but the improvement in bingo wings is well worth the hurt haha!!
 
:D Sorry for not being around much had a few technical hitches this week like a broken mouse and I'm god damn awful at using the bit on the lappy so had to wait to get a new one :D
Plus omg the headaches have been crippling me I've been walking round holding me wee head for the last two days
Woke up this morning though to just a slight muzz so think the flu is clearing Yee Ha!!!

There's so many questions going round in my head at the moment
1- I'm not sure I am eating enough veggie, I do love my veggie and could easily eat a big plate full so i've been a bit careful and probably a bit stingy with them what is the best way of measuring them
by tablespoon
by scale
and how much is too much ?
2- And when something says a trace of carbs ie like mushrooms does that mean you can eat them quite freely ?
I probably have more questions but just can't think at the moment haha!!
