    Hi all,

I've just returned from the pharmacy with a bottle of Ketostix - I was soooooo curious to check my levels! :D

A first test showed something very very close to 0.8, I'm guestimating 0.6-0.7 or so.

If you're using Ketostix, would you mind sharing what readings you're usually getting?

When I started the plan, my pharmacist said it wasn't really necessary that I use them, because "I'll know/feel when I'm in ketosis". Still, I was curious and wanted some reassurance  Guess they'll come particularly handy when I'll go through a 1st refeeding phase, really anxious to see how fast would I be kicked out of ketosis, and then how long it'll take to go back in.

So, can anyone share their readings? Would 0.6 - 0.7 be a desirable level, what do you say? Thanks a lot!

    Hiya

The reading doesn't indicate how deeply in ketosis you are just how hydrated you are. Eg you are either in ketosis or not, the colour will be lighter the more hydrated you are which is what you should be aiming for. A dark reading indicates dehydration.

Oh I see, thanks! So basically, anyting above "negative" would indicate ketosis, while the darkness only indicated the levels of hydration.
    Thanks very much!
Oh and... wow!... those are impressive pictures, big congrats!
