Lack of water causing cystitis?

I've been on exante for about 1 month now an have been drinking about 3 -4 litres daily. At the weekend I had a day off and drank alcohol. The day after I barely drank any water and then on Monday morning had the worse cystitis ever. I've not had it in years and years. Just wondering if a day off from lots of water could cause this!!

Also it's a right pain now because the medication to treat it has citric acid in it!!

Sorry very belated reply. worth mentioning to your GP if it hasn't cleared up.

I never had cystitis before started Lipotrim then in week 3 or 4 cystitis struck. I thought I was drinking the recommended amount obviously not. Took the over the counter solution Pharmacist recommended. Had to do this twice. Switched over to Exante and not had a problem since.

Thanks, I think it was caused by not drinking much water one day and maybe the booze! It's cleared up now though!

Apparently a glass of water with a spoon of bicarbonate of soda works well- too much may give you the runs thou so be careful!
