Lea's Weight Loss Journey - Cannot believe WI today...

hey Lea, sorry to hear you're feeling down.. sending you lots of cheering up hugs! hope your cheesecake cheered you up a little :) xxx

hello, just read your diary (start to finish) and have found it really helpful :)
just wondering if you can help me with a couple of post baby WW questions?!
im hoping to start doing WW in the new year when my baby will be six weeks old (not actually due til the 18th of this month) and am worried about the points i will have. am hoping to breastfeed (fingers crossed) and am worried that 10 points solely for BF is quite high?!
will i still acheive a loss if say for instance i am allocated 30 points a day to use?
how did you find it?

many thanks suz x

Wow, you must have been really bored lol. I'm sure it was not that interesting ;) Thanks for reading it though. Anything I say that can help someone else is a bonus.

Congrats on your baby. Counting down the days now hey? You must be getting excited. My baby is now 4 and a half months and rolling around all over the place....where did the time go????

I have been doing WW for 10 weeks now and breastfed the whole time. I started on 10pts for bfing and i too thought it was alot. However, I ate them anyway and lost weight. I just so happened to enjoy the odd chocolate bar to make them up ;) I did find it hard to eat them all up virtually every day and normally ate around 28 (I was supposed to have 32). Now i have introduced bottles I have 5 points for feeding and that is much better. I am now eating most of my points and still losing. I am not losing as quick as many of the other girls on here but I think us breastfeeding mums are not supposed to. If we eat/drink too little our supply will suffer. I lose around 1-2lbs per week and that is fine by me. I am loving WW and breastfeeding so it is a win win situation :)

Goodluck on the birth of your baby. Do you know what you are having?

Thanks Rach. Well, it did a little I suppose. It will take more than cheesecake though. Nevermind.

Off to bed shortly...

Hope your feeling better today! *Hugs* x

thanks so much for your reply! dont feel quite so daunted now about starting it with so many points to eat!

no we dont know what were having - is our first baby and just want my bundle of fun here now!!

thanks again :thankyou:

Thanks for asking.

I am feeling a little better today. It is the weekend, I have my husband and no work to cause anyone any stress. It is during the week I find it hard. I am on my own all day and DH does not finish until 7pm earliest meaning I have to be up all night with my daughter (she wakes every 2 hours), wake up at 6am with my son. Get breakfast for him, then me. Get them both bathed and dressed. Get dinner for him, me and DH. Get tea for my son and them myself and DH. Get daugter fed and to bed. Then my son, dressed and story before bed. All during this time I am alone with a 3 year old and a 4 month old. She is feeding every 2 hours. I am just really tired and feel so lonely at times and work is causing a lot of arguements....me mad at him for not being around more to help me etc. Him mad becuase he never sees his kids. The air is blue here most days and nights.

But today is Saturday so ok. I had a lovely soak this morning whilst DH bathed them both and today I don't feel lonely :) Like I say, it is very up and down. I have the health visitor coming next week and I just hope I am not seen as having post natal depression :/ It feels it sometimes...

Thanks for asking. Today is better :)

oh i hope you start to feel better soon hun - nothing worse than feeling alone! cant be easy feeding your daughter every 2 hours plus running around after a 3 year old!

things will get easier......its just takes time - i hav no idea what ive let myself in for lol especially with this being my first baby!

Lea, I can totally relate to how yr feeling! I nearly lost the plot shortly after having my twins (my toddler was 21m old when they were born). Hubby was out 7am-6pm and then had loads of paperwork eves/weekends. So not that dissimiliar to you and as for feeling alone, I have never felt so alone in my life ... so I'm right there with you every inch of the way.

If you want my mobile number I'll PM you - but I work in a school so unfortunately wont be able to offer much support during the school day but school holidays, during my lunch hour, which I occasionally get, and after 3pm etc I'm always here for you.

Keep you're chin up hunny and enjoy having yr OH around today and moro.

You might like to think about asking yr HV when she comes if there are other mums feeling like you - believe me, we are not the only ones and you might be pleasantly surprised.

In the meantime I'm sending you one heck of a big hug xxx

mrsm, you'll be fine :D Can't wait to hear that you have your baby with you. It's THE BEST feeling in the entire world :D Don't let me put you off...I would not change it for the world :D

Jax - wow you must have had your hands full! You are so kind to offer me your number. If things get worse I might take you up on that one ;) Not feeling so bad today thankfully. Thanks for the hug :D

Karen, I do go to a 'mums group' but there baby's are older than mine so they have all 'been there done that already'. I know it is perfectly natural to feel this way but I just want things to turn back to normal. I will speak to the hv though next week.

Anyway, feeling good tonight. Barely ate any points today to save room for a Chinese and two small glasses of Baileys. Both my babies went down early to bed easily and we sat watching TV all night. The Chinese was yummy. I only ate half of it and half a bag of crackers. I hope I have not affected my WI. I am 2 points over but I have banked 7 from earlier this week. I just did 30 mins on the Wii to make myself feel better about it. I hate eating something so bad so close to WI. Nevermind. It was LOVELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again everyone for popping in here and providing support. I am so grateful and I love this forum!!!!!

glad you've cheered up a bit.. prawn crackers do wonders for bad moods :D

Well, I had a quick WI this morning (first for the week) as I was really curious and I was shocked to see I may be in for my first gain tomorrow. I have no idea why.....I have stuck to my points ALL week and I have earned 15.5 APs so far this week. I don't know why but I have had a feeling all week that I might STS but gain??? I am feeling bloated again this morning and have tummy ache. I have been expecting TOTM for over a week now but nothing has arrived and I am due this weekend but still nothing yet....also, I am feeling quite bunged up...a little constipated so that may not be helping.

I am really disappointed that I may not have a good WI tomorrow. I was so close to the 10s last week :/

Anyway, expecting a 1 or 2 lbs gain tomorrow (although I am going to have a REALLY good day today and try to sort out the bunged up issue). Maybe TOTM may even finally arrive???

Nevermind. I WILL break through to the 10s even if it is delayed by a week or 2 ;)

OMG Nikki...8lbs off!?!?!? Wow, check you out! Well done hun. Maybe it could be 9 by tomorrow?

Hehe well I haven't lost anything since yesterday morning.. I seem to have developed a pattern this week... 1 morning no less, the next morning 1.5lbs off, and it repeats every 2 days! So hoping that tomorrow will be 1.5lbs off to take me to 9.5 off :D and into the 11s (by half a lb). Won't mind if I don't get that off though as I have decided to do this for another couple of weeks at least, so plenty of time to get there!

Its quite nice to have a break from counting points actually, I don't feel hungry at all now and struggled to have my 3 packs yesterday - I actually forgot to have them in the daytime as I was busy and didn't get any hunger pangs at all, so ended up having two in the evening!

Stay cheerful though hun :) you are doing well and if you DO have a gain this week I'm certain you will have lost inches, and the scales will catch up next week. They usually do :)

xxx

Good luck for wi hon. If you're feeling bunged up, why not take a couple of Dulco Lax at bedtime? No point in having a gain or sts just because you're a bit constipated.

Good luck with yr WI tomorrow. Glad yr staying positive - TOTM is a pain! :)

goodluck hun for your wi - maybe youve gained more muscle by doing the exercise? i agree though take something if your feeling bunged up x
