Lighter Life November Starters!

:break_diet: I dont know what to do I did well my first week and I thought that would be enough to inspire me to stick with the diet but I keep eating!!! :cry:I am paying attention in the meetings and exercising but when it comes down to eating I dont have the willpower to say no. How can I make this better??? I thought that I could do this diet as I havent managed to do any of the others but I am failing miserably :(

I sympathise and don't know what to say in reply because I *also* have been failing miserably and cheating / eating food.

This week I only did so on two days (Sunday and Tuesday) but just eating food on those 2 days has totally messed up ketosis for me and has led to either NIL weight loss or a small gain (awaiting official results at 6pm tonight).

I am *sooooooooooooooooo* annoyed with myself because I *know* that this plan works when done properly -- but I also am just getting *toooo* tempted by food.

I have begun to wonder a few times if I can stick to this diet as I obviously adore food so much ....... but on the other hand I am *soooo* keen to be slim + reach my goals.

I am having a head battle at the moment !!!!!
 
I am with you 100% shaz I never realised that I had such an emotional link with food. Maybe it is the time of year, maybe it is because I dont want it enough, maybe it is because I am weak. I dont know why I am doing it and I have found the more annoyed and upset I get with myself the more likely I am to resort to eating again! I am so tempted to give up and start again in the new year but I keep thinking that in the 3 weeks before then I could lose more weight. Total head mess!! If you find any inspiration please let me know!! I dont feel as bad as I am not the only one!!!

I am having my weigh in tomorrow. So I guess just draw a line under it and start again on Friday.

lil miss mummy n strictly shaz, have u asked ur llc about lighter life light? u replace 1 of ur packs with a light meal u hav a strict amount from each food group (except carbs) its designed for people with less than 3 stone to lose so dont know if thats either of u but it might help keep u focused if u know u can have some food later, wot ive also found is that if u make a chocolate shake up but with a lot less water its like a chocolate pudding so u feel like ur being naughty but ur not really hope it helps

I don't think Lighter Light Life wd be suitable for either me or Lil Miss Mummy as I think we both have more than 3 stone to lose (I have 13 stone to lose -- or did from my starting point of 23½ stone!).

Anyway, yes I just discovered the "Chocolate Pudding" thing by accident this morning -- was trying to make a muffin and decided that I much preferred the gloopy uncooked mess !!!!

Part of the reason for my lapses was lack of variety (I had limited myself to almost entirely tomato soup and vegetable soup) and I was missing "sweet" things / variety.

So now I am going to try a few of the other shakes like that as well.

Also, last night at my LL group another lady was having difficulties, the same as me, so she and me have now teamed up + swapped phone numbers and we are going to support each other through the weekend + our times of temptation.

Lil Miss Mummy and Strictly Shaz, I have been going through the same thing and eating food now and again. Dont beat yourselves up about it if you have eaten as that will only prob make u want to eat more! Dont give up, especially over christmas, stick with it even if you stay the same weight for the next couple of weeks over christmas. Surely this would be better than giving up LL and putting on weight over christmas, undoing all the hard work you have already done?

Dont give up, stick with it, I know how you feel!:)

Thank you sooooooooooooooo much for all your support! I have spoken to my LLc and she has been really supportive too. I was lucky that I didnt put on any weight this week, but new start this week I have been re reading my book and I am determined to start again!

I'll let you know how I get on this week!

I didn't change the table with my Week 5 result as there was basically no loss -- I am hiding away in embarrassment until this Thursday when I *hope* to be able to post a LOSS for Week 6 and then it will be up-to-date again.

It was my own fault for lapsing during end of Week 4, beginning of Week 5.

I didn't see any point in adding Week 5 .... 0 lbs .... etc because the total will stay the same -- so I am leaving the table with my previous Week 4 weigh in result until Thursday.
