LoChan's diary - hello!

how is he? did he manage okay? x

lo zumba nearly killed me and thats just the tutorials !!!!!!!:giggle::giggle::giggle::rotflmao::rotflmao:

I was a lot worse off about it than he was it seems heh. There was a bit of upset in the morning but he was okay once he got into class. His special needs teacher thinks something might have happened in the playground at break though - he said he felt 'dizzy' and didn't want to go in class so he stayed with her in the provision unit. Possibly having some trouble with someone but he went back to class after lunch.

They're doing a Music Technology after school club from next week so trying to get him a place on that - it's making music and then editing it on apple macs and things so it'll combine two of his big interests and give him some more time with other kids (he's an only child and he's not allowed to play out on his own/don't know anyone around here anyway as we only moved here last December) :)

Just feels like this week is full of horrible things for me - felt really shattered after we got home and fell asleep. Woke up and my wrist is really hurting, feels like a carpal tunnel thing as can't do much with it without shooting pains.

I don't know whether to look forward to mine arriving or not now :8855:

No pics again today - not done much creative cooking, shattered. Roll on weekend!

B - potato cake, baked beans, mushrooms, egg.

L - leftover quorn biriyani/bhajis/yoghurt dip and mini flatbread (7.5 syns). Eat too much at lunch and felt really uncomfortable, not done that for ages since starting sw again :(

Snack - wholemeal toast (hexb), peanut butter (3 syns), jam (1 syn), chopped banana

T - courgette & parmesan (hexa) pasta. Sour cherries & yoghurt

Evening - milky coffee (hexa) and fibre plus bar (hexb).

Just the 2.5mile walk in the mbts to school today - still drizzling a bit here and there but umbrella not required. More having to be careful of slippery leaves everywhere. Keep having morbid thoughts of tripping up and breaking a bone :sigh:

Hope most of tomorrow goes quickly, son is having a night at his grandad's which we're both looking forward to. Got dvds from blockbusters on tuesday which I haven't got round to watching yet so t'will be a quiet night in with feet up :)

glad he was okay - even with the little breaktime problem. The music thing sounds amazing, i hope he gets a place - it will be good for him to socialise with other kids a bit more :)

i think food sounds lovely.. potato cakes and courgette pasta to me sound amazing.. i love potato cakes in any shape or form and i loooooooove anything courgettey or mushroomy :D

do you have any plans for the weekend? x

Son got his place in the music club, starts next tuesday after school. He had a hard time on friday lunchtime as he's been lonely at playtimes and things - he's joined a new primary in Year 5 so all the other kids have known each other since nursery mostly. Be hard enough for any kid but with his problems it's really tough. Hoping with doing the club he might find it easier to make some friends with similar hobbies as the group will be much smaller than the whole playground :)

Watched Hairspray for the first time last night, it was odd as it made me smile and laugh but at the same time I was thinking 'this is pretty cheesy, should I find it funny' lol Got avatar and be kind rewind to watch before they're due back on tuesday. Bit broke until payday so not really got plans this weekend - probably just catch up with housework and gardening things (got a load of tomato plants and things that need looking after). Probably try and go out for a walk on my own tomorrow for a breather.

Mnph rambling a lot with the not doing my food diary/general entry last night.

Diary for yesterday :

B - chocolate oatso simple (7 syns + milk hexa), banana and strawberries

L - last of the quorn biriyani and bhajis (3 syns)

D - mushroom and lentil loaf (hexb of cheese), sweet potato/carrot mash, broccoli.
Fake cheesecake with alpen bar base (hexb), quark with splenda/vanilla and sour cherries

Evening - milky coffee (hexa) and a reese's wafer bar (5 syns).

Was pretty hungry in the morning with an earlier than normal breakfast but just ate lunch a little earlier rather than snacking. Do think I should try doing the snacking thing more though to see if it makes a positive difference or not. Otherwise I get the guilt about having them - found most of the week I needed one after getting back home from the school run.

WI result was 3lbs off this week. I know that's good but today I just kinda registered it with an 'alright that's what I weigh this week'.

Bit of a mini-surprise that I've started another * week, the last one only went away on the 31st of august but the one before that was back in may. Insides are very confused and I think maybe that's added to my weird mood most of this week.

Mmph anyway - I'm just about out of the 24st bracket and was only there for 3 WI results so I guess that's a good thing :)

3lbs is brill hun, dont sell yourself short!

what was the fake cheesecake like with an alpen bar as the base? xx

Thank'ees - I know it's a good result don't worry I'm not being daft, just a bit spaced out today lol

Rach the cheesecake thing was okay but reckon it's much nicer to add options to the quark mixture rather than just vanilla/splenda. Didn't have the syns free for it last night though with the wanting chocolate too heh, think that's going to happen quite a lot this week

No probs Mandy - I'm sure I probably pinched it from somebody else lol It makes a change from fruit and yoghurt for a pud :)

Late night food diary'in :D

Chopped nectarines and activia yoghurt.

E - no coffee! Wholemeal toast (hexb), peanut butter (3 syns), jam (1 syn) and chopped banana.
Mmmmn, toast.jpg
Impatient for my american stuff to come on monday - going to make pumpkin pancakes and I've got a US starbucks recipe to try - spiced pumpkin latte. Also tasty graham crackers to enjoy and to possibly make s'mores with mmmmm. Just need a bit more sunshiney weather and I'll be set for a happy week. Which should include more cooking and picture-taking, it's fun :D

what would you rate the mushroom and lentil loaf out of ten? is it worth me doing a green day for? :) xxx

Looking at it while I was making it I was a bit dubious - but it does taste really nice. The mushrooms and lentils work really well together - though the bottom fell off mine so I'll need to work on that lol

Plus I used reduced fat cheddar so it was -really- cheesy. The recipe post says it freezes okay too :)

*Forgot the rating lol - 8 out of 10 I'd reckon.

thank you :D hope you have a good day today! xx
