Loopeylou's Journey to a Slimmer Me

Good morning and welcome, not sure how I missed your diary yesterday so apologies fro me x Like Fizzy said a few of us have moved over from s+s and either had a STS or a loss I lost 2lbs but as you expect to have a gain of 7lbs after leaving a vlcd anything less than that is a bonus. Just remember to stick within your DD allowance which you should find easy enough after coming off a vlcd but also remeber to eat your UP day cals, you need to have the feats and famine effect to get all the benefits this diet has to offer, give it at least 2 weeks for your body to adjust and I guarantee you will be converted, I am into my 8th week and know I will get to goal on it, how long that takes me I don't care now as I love this way of eating , losing the weight is a benefit! I have also just posted an interesting fact about losing actual fat rather than water/muscle which explains why you will probably notice a lot more NSV 'S, good luck to you and your OH and look forward to your company x

Thank you so much for your advise :)
Was pretty spot on with DD yest, about 10 cals under. Today was 2082/2104...... Pretty pleased with myself and had a fab lunch out too.
Will check out that post, I love reading info like that X

Had a great day today. UP day 2082/2104 :)
Lunch out lasted from 11:45 til 4:30!!!! Then left at 5 to get my nails done lol......tons of work to catch up n tomorrow though haha

Lunch out was:
Mushroom soup with 1 small slice of whole meal bread
Venison burger, salad with spicy fries - only managed about a 1/4 of fries as burger was delicious and filled me up....had a lovely onion marmalade
Dessert....I chose the mini dish. It was 3 china spoons containing 1 profiteroles, eton mess and a lemon tart. 3 mouthfuls but delicious and not filling.
Did have a glass of pink champagne then water the rest of the meal

After the way work been recently it was great to get out and socialise, the management are lovely people when not at work pressuring us lol

DD tomorrow, 3 S&S sachets. I really like the idea of cooking on an UP day but not having to make lunches, tomorrow on DD only have to make lunch ready for next day!

Will catch up on a few dairies then bed as I'm tired tonight xx

I did, felt really relaxed about it too. Wasn't afraid to eat which was a great feeling.
Wasn't hungry this morning either, had a s&s sachet before leaving for work to give my body some fuel but certainly couldn't have managed anything more anyway.

xx

Tough start to the day, my ex-mother in law died this morning. I was expecting it, its such sad news but she's been poorly for some time so a relief in some ways.
I really feel for my poor son as its his nan bless him. I've had to come to work unfortunately which I feel awful about, I took him to his work experience as he wanted to go but they said for him to go home as they weren't busy today. I've dropped him home, hubbie finishing at lunch hopefully so he won't be on his own for long - also arranged for my mum to pop in on him this morning.......but i'm his mum and want to be with him - he's 15 but still needs his mum!

Have messaged my ex-husband to send my condolences, thankfully it was an amicable divorce so won't be any issues with me attending the funeral with my son.

Looking forward to the weekend more than ever now X

Sorry to hear that pet x

Was he close to his nan? It's a horrible age to lose someone

17 lost : 50 to goal

oh hun,how awful.
i do know what you mean about the relief though, not nice to see someone suffering.
hugs to you all.

Oh so sorry for your loss, I lost my Father in Feb and my 15 yr old took it quite badly but not in an openly grieveing way he bottled it all up and had a few anger issues because of that, he is getting there now but just something for you to keep an eye on, hugs to you both, hope your DD goes well x

I am sorry for your loss, I lost both of my grandmas by the time I was 21. Hope that everything goes ok :)

Thoughts are with you all

He was but she has been in a home for the last 7 years with Altzheimers so its been a tough few years for him to see her change so much anyway. He's coping quite well bless him xx

He's cried a fair bit this morning and you can see a cloud going over him at points bless him but he is opening up and talking etc.
My mum used to be the Registar for deaths and has been on many counselling courses etc, she came to see him today and had a good cry with her too so hoping he won't bottle it up after being so open.
Bless you son xx

Bless him!
Its good to cry, talk and share all of the memories!
Its nice that he has so many supporting and understanding people around him to help too!
I didn't have any of that when my Grandma died when I was 11 or even in September 2011 when my other Grandma died so its wonderful to see!

Take care!

it's so good to talk, when my mil passed everyone obviously was so devastated (it was sudden)so such a shock but
no one talked about her,it was like an unwritten law,it was awful, then in 2003 my beautiful step daughter passed away,
but we talked about her, laughed cried, got angry, sad, put up pictures, and it was a whole different ball game.
mil was 2000,and still delicate.worst thing to hold it all in.
thing is also you don't get over it,you learn to live with it.

We've had a lovely cuddly eve, although he's 15 he will still have a good cuddle. Mind you at 6ft he cuddles me!! Lol

A good DD today, 2 S&S packs and a chicken salad tonight :) 406 cals

We got some lovely food from Waitrose tonight, lots of fresh fruit, veg, yogurts, seeded bread, crackers and a Butterscoth Cake - 211 cals a slice which I will enjoy greatly tomorrow!
Tomorrows menu
Brekkie - 2 choc weetabix & milk followed by muller Greek yog
Lunch - Tuna sarnie on seeded bread, pretzels and apple
Dinner - homemade Chicken & Chorizo Paella :)
Then a slice of The Cake yum (I hope lol)
