Ohh, i am loving the positive vibe on your thread Katy! Really makes goals seem very much achievable....Yay for all of us! xx
lol both of you. I was like that yesterday and could have eaten the hinges too!
Thanks but I think madder:silly: rather than braver. Whatever path we choose we will all reach the finish line at some point![]()
.when we lose weight we empty our fat cells of fat..yay but they don't disappear and they fill up with water until they know they are no longer needed and then the water empties out...
but i know its not fat because i haven't overeaten 21000 cals in the last few weeks (3500 cals per lb of fat x 6) so i know know know it's just water, therefore I know that i am still ok even though the scales say different as my clothes are the same i look the same as i did a few weeks ago and the only way I can live with the scales number is to constantly remind myself of the facts of this...it is water for me...it will always be water unless something goes drastically wrong with my eating resulting in my eating 21000 extra cals over and above my maintenance level...very hard to do i would think.
I know it's carb-gain and will go as fast, but feel very stupid for what happened yesterday (best to draw a veil over the exact point where it all went wrong). It means I am back at the start, with little or nothing to show for all the good days.

I managed porridge soup again this morning, it seems to be a trend at the moment, I'm putting in the 140mls but getting slop.So far have had my spoonful of porridge
This is very interesting Lelly. Can I ask you a bit more? (Sorry Katy)
How long does it take for fat cells to disappear for good then? More than a year from what you said next, but do you know how long it takes?
Yes, very hard and this is what puzzles me so. I put on around 8lbs over Christmas but I'm sure that I didn't /couldn't have eaten 28,000 calories over what I'd need to maintain. So am I right in thinking that some of this was water and if so, how do we get rid of it because it certainly hung around? (I certainly didn't look or feel the same as you say you did with a smaller weight gain.)
This leads me to be a bit confused about the 12lbs that have gone since I started CD again 12 days ago....how much will be fat and how much water? How does drinking water not fill up the fat cells and make us gain more? How does drinking water help us to lose the weight when dieting?
Sorry if this is a bit confused, but I think I must be too....
