Lost & Found... Map Gone AWOL!

Katy, glad your migrane is gone. Sounds like you are doing pretty good foodwise. Your stew sounds delicious - yummy!

Thanks Liz & Dis... I love Green Day & wish I could have gone, but after the migraine OH offered to take them. He didn't get to go in, though! The stew was fab.

Got to get back on track today.

Not eat when I know I am already 'full'.
Not eat for reasons that are not to do with hunger.
Work.
Stay away from trigger foods.
Exercise while weather is dry.

sounds like a great plan katy!!

Have a fab day!

I'm with you on all those "goals" - I need to drink water as well as I know I don't drink nearly enough...

Have a great day!

What's Green day then?

Aw, kind of post-punk band from US... a bit political, very cool, very loud... have been going a long while, I love their stuff. I loved The Cure etc way back in the day, & Green Day are influenced by them and many other of my old faves. (Showing my age here). The kids love them, and declared the gig 'best day of their lives'. OH reported many old crusty middle aged people going in, so I would not have been the only oldie! A friend the same age as me has this t-shirt, 'Old punks don't die, they just stand at the back...' Lol.

 :D

Morning Katy! Tea, computer, peace for a while, wit gathering? :)

Hmmm. Tea, computer... but wits haven't been see for some time! Glad I am not the only insomniac, lol.

Yesterday... not bad day, but a struggle day:
porridge, berries, 0% yog
2 oatcakes with peanut butter at 10-ish (seem to be needing a morning snack lately?)
leftover lentil/quorn/veg stew, 1 pitta bread
CD hot choc, glug of semi skimmed milk (yum)
sprouts, broad beans, feta, 1 pitta bread
At 9 - craved something sweet, had hi-lites hot choc & 6 mikado choc sticks... ??? Mistake, had two and wanted more. Grrr. Bed, to stop the damage. But why couldn't I just go to bed BEFORE that?

For much of day I craved something sweet, and it was hard to fight it off. There are 6 Hotel Chocolat truffles in my room, a pressie for someone. I kept thinking - just 6. Not many. (For me!). But I didn't have them. Need to get them out of the house.

Hoping for a better day, maybe less pitta bread? Are the carbs making me crave bad things? Don't know. Supposed to be a fab week for weather, fingers crossed - need to get out for a walk.

Well yes, but reading this you struggled but didn't give in. So you struggled and won. The truffles are still there (get rid of them) and it was only 4 more choc sticks than you planned, not so bad then. Not the slippery slope. Good Katy, well done!! :)

Hug for Bess. Looked at the Mikado pack (while depositing it in daugheter's room) and each stick is 11 cals, so that was 66. Could have been worse. Will get daughter to hide truffles till I can give them to the person they are for. Onwards, ever onwards!

Morning Katy, i've been up an hour already too! damn clocks! not doing anything productive though just pottering.
66 cals for bit of choc sounds just dandy!
and not at all like the half a bag of yoghurty covered bananas chips i consumed whilst wandering round new shopping centre think about 400 cals and they weren't even that nice!
So well done for avoiding the cal-dense chocs and going for the lighter option!
Hope you manage to get out for your walk today, i've told family same thing, need to get out in the fresh air!
HAve a fab day hunny!
xx

Morning Katy - It sounds like you did really well yesterday! 6 Mikado sticks is nothing really - 66 cals - that's what your body burns in an hour sleeping, so you burned that off several times after overnight :)

I fought with a tub of ice cream last night and lost - there was only a little left so didn't break the bank but still. I did the whole - put 2 scoops in a small bowl, put the tub back in the freezer, eat ice cream daintily with a small spoon. Put the bowl in the dishwasher, get the tub out of the freezer and scoff the rest straight from the tub....

A new day today! We're going into town (London) as my DS has learned about the unknown warrior tomb at school and is desperate to go to Westminster Abbey to see it.

Hope you have a great day!

Oh Alli, know that routine so well with the ice cream!

Westminster Abbey will be fab, we went on last friday of our week in london, & my son (17!) was transfixed by tomb of unknown soldier. It costs a fortune to get in but boy is it worth it, you get a free walky-talky guide thing and it is brilliant, we were there for hours. As I recall, food options at the Abbey are v. uninspiring, so you should be safe!

Have a great day.

Ha, see, that was nothing!! Run up and down the stairs a few times and that'll be gone anyway!! x

Ate the truffles. Sorry, sorry, sorry... I am so stupid.

Big hugs. You're not stupid. Truffles are the devils food and would test anyone. Seriously, I could not have them in the house or they'd be gone. Personally think you did well to last so long

Like you told me, don't beat yourself up. Blip, nothing more, didn't set off an uncontrollable binge hun :)

Does anyone else find it harder coming up to Christmas. Things like truffles, nice cakes etc are so hard to avoid. This time of year - it's almost programmed into people to think 'to hell with it' and go crazy food wise.

:8855:Oh Katy this made me laugh out loud! I just quickly read down from where I left this morning! I'm not laughing at you lovey, hopefully with you. You aren't at all stupid, not a bit, hope they were really nice!!
If you are upset just cut down on something else today to equal out the cals in the end. It'll be fine. Have just sent you a pm to consider as well. :)

Oh Katy - you and me both! We've just come back from our trip into London and my lunch (CD bar) is still in my handbag. A huge meal from Gourmet Burger Kitchen is in my belly and I am amazed at how one second I felt confident and good about having my bar and literally seconds later I opened my mouth to order burger and fries with extra onion rings :rolleyes:

Oh well - there's always tomorrow! ;)
