Lost & Found... Map Gone AWOL!

Keep plugging away Katy, you can do it!
We are losing the snow here too thankfully, im good for at least another 2 years thanks!
Am following DT at the minute so am with you and Bess in spirit, if just doing a slightly different approach.
Will check in later to se how you are getting on x

Another day, another dollar... porridge eaten. The bowlful had shrunk even further today, I had to eat it with a teaspoon, no joke. Sigh.

So do I !! Have just had soup and some cottage cheese for lunch (mouse sized portion) breakfast was at 6.30 so hungry.

Met a colleague in Sainsbury's cafe where people were putting away big breakfasts...sigh...but, I had a good look round as I was waiting and a lot of them were very very big, so that made me feel better. Distraction is the thing for me and no wine......good girl Bess :).

Good girl Katy? :D xxx

Taking dog to vet now.....poor dog, poor vet. I'll count his fingers before we leave!
How's your son? Bit better?

xxxx

Coffee with bit of skim milk and toffee malt bar for lunch, dead on 12. A distant memory now. Looking forward to my hot choc at 3 or 4, depending how long I can last out. Thinking sprouts and quorn for tea... but yes, good girl. So far. Mouth feels odd and wonder if it's too early to be feeling mild ketosis...

Ignore those big fry-ups, yuk... have eaten my share of supermarket cafe food as well, but most of it is nothing to write home about. Thaw is well on the way here, at last... any better where you are? Good luck at the vets, hope doggy is better soon. Son has finished antibiotics and looking a lot better today... still a bit wiped out, but should be good to go for school on monday. His sister should be bringing a truckload of HW for him to keep him entertained over the weekend... I predict an instant relapse once he sees that!

Hey there. Glad to hear your son is feeling better, kids are a worry whatever age.

Well done Bess...now thats will power!

have reset ticker and have 18lb to lose, which seems a bit scary, how did that happen?
I think it's called christmas and new year! My clothes shrunk over that time period too:cry:

We can do this Katy, we did it before and can do it again especially with the support on here :D

You're right MissJT... we can, and we will. So far so good, had my hot choc at 3, off now to concoct my quorn & sprout stir-fry... don't say ANYTHING, OK, I like quorn... and sprouts...

Yup, mostly slush now, but the lane and the yard are still slush on ice, so scary still. Mud everywhere again, in the lobby. in the kitchen....sigh.... I hate the winter...
Dog has ear drops and I paid a bill of £60, considering the dog only cost £50 OH said.....well I won't actually tell you what he said, but it involved being dogless and a new pair of black furry mittens.... I think he was only teasing?.......

I bought some quorn today and I love sprouts. You mention stir fry? How do you cook yours then?
xx

Suppose there is no 'fry' about it really. Cook sprouts/quorn/spinach/whatver all in water/stock then drain most away, add a teeny bit of chopped tinned toms (not allowed, but have always done it) and a glug of tabasco. I do it in a mini wok, maybe that's why I imagine it is a stir fry! I do stir it, sometimes...

Anyway, all eaten... already thinking of that microscopic porridge tomorrow...

:8855:

MIL here, dead nosey, so have been busy doing work while they have soup and bread for lunch and now drinking hot shake, which I stirred with a spoon instead of whizzing it as usual.........all lumpy, yuk!
She's so bad, I have even burned the pack on the fire so she can't see it in the bin! ...And of course the box of packs are hidden in a cupboard...I hope!! :sigh:

All green again here, thank goodness but I saw an igloo in someone's garden still intact today, looked so odd in a suburban street with no snow.

Bess, I keep my box of supplies in the bedroom, under my clothes rail. Lots of teens wafting about and don't want them to think the meal replacement thing is 'normal' or anything... like you, I try to get on quietly with minimum fuss. Storm last night and river has flooded badly, valley full of water and bridge/road flooded at one end of lane. Sigh! Back to normal, then!

Like the idea of the lone igloo....

Have just had my quorn meal, unexciting... but day three completed. If I can just keep it up... am off on my travels tomorrow, to London, back monday evening. Tomorrow should be fine if I have porridge for brek, shake at midday & coffee & bar on train. Can get cottage cheese at Euston for supper. Monday will be trickier, probably hotel scrambled egg for brek, then buffet lunch at presentation which I am dreading... hoping I can wander about with a plate of bits & not eat much of it. Travelling back again at 3, so will have bar for train & hot choc when I finally get home 9 or 10-ish.

I just don't want to break the pattern so soon, so hoping the buffet thing can be negotiated OK. The eggs will be fine, treating that as a substitute for the 'protein meal' though I know eggs not really allowed... I used to do this when travelling before on 810 & it worked fine.

Hope everyone is going OK today... threads have been quiet.

hey katy, sounds like things are going well on 810...yay for you! Hope the trip goes well hun, eggs are better than lots of other stuff on offer i reckon even if not on the plan.
I'm going to be in London tomorrow too for my birthday pressie from hubby, 2 comedy shows in 1 day, one at 4pm (stewart lee) and then 1 at 8pm in Hammersmith (Billy connolly!) staying overnight so hotel brekkie for me too, will be taking it very easy there.
I too used to keep my cd stuff away from everyone and didn't really talk about it much, different now though the CD area is full of it obv!! they couldn't be less interested thankfully.

xx

I should think the buffet might be ok. You can do a reccy of suitable things, there's bound to be something salady? Maybe fishy too? Do you eat fish? I know some veggies do.

Just tried your sprouts and quorn, nice, but didn't add tomatoes, a spoonful of cottage cheese which melted a bit....I measured and weighed it all and am surprised at the relatively large portion of protein on SS+. I ate all of the quorn but only half of the sprouts, felt full (?!) so stopped. :faint2: Amazing huh?

Just here with my bar and coffee....an evening treat, as it used to be. Clothes feel a little less tight, haven't weighed today.

I carry a 'spare' bar with me, as a kind of insurance that there'll always be something suitable for me to eat of I need to, would that be any good on Monday for you? Just in case?

Hope you have a good time, long train journey isn't it? Pity your meeting is in London and not in the Welsh borders.......:)
Stay safe. xxx

Thanks, both! Have a fab time Lelly... not staying in Covent Garden are you? If a strange woman eating scrambled eggs starts peering oddly at you on monday morning over the breakfast buffet, that will be me! A London pal saw Billy Connolly earlier this week and LOVED it. I know you will have an amazing time hun.

Bess, no fish... don't eat anything that 'had a face once' as my OH would say! Used to be vegan, and that was ultra strict. There will be veggie stuff at buffet I know, but likely to be fancy, high carb, high fat, or bread-based... green salad or tomatoes or something would be a dream. I'll just do my best. Will pack an extra bar, as suggested... I used to be quite expert at eating a bar 'in public' with a coffee and not have anyone suss it wasn't just a choc bar, but not gonna work at the buffet as it is a shmooze thing with a pile of journos/media peeps. Eeek. Guess the buffet will be the least of my worries. If it all gets too much, I will sneak off and head up to you... welsh borders, igloo in neighbours garden... should be easy to find! Get that kettle on & we can have a CD hot choc together!

Had forgotten about cottage cheese till pondering my trip south, & think I will use it more this time around... the quorn stew thing is palling a bit already, yet twas all I ate for months on 810 before! I agree that the quantities are crazy, I just eat what I can and hope for the best.

Gonna pack & have an early night, thanks for support girls...

No, I do like tofu - just never find thrilling things to do with it on 810. My fave things to do with it involve pastry & tahini & fried mushrooms & onions, an invented recipe from my vegan days we still do every Xmas, the kids call it 'toffee flan' so it dates from the days when they couldn't say the word tofu! Yum but NOT low fat.

I used to make a creamy sauce to put on veg by belnding it up with a bit of skim milk... might try that again.

Alli, how cool... watch out for a grey-haired avatar with tattoos all over one cheek... am realising my profile pic doesn't give a whole lot away! I do go through Euston a lot, if you see a madwoman smiling madly and clutching M&S cottage cheese, that will be me!

Have had my spoonful of porridge, choc shake at 11.30 today as need to be driving to station before 12 to get 1 o clock train. Scales say 11 5 today so a 6lb drop, but know that will be the glycogen thing. My lovely dresses all still too tight so looks like a jumper & skirt for presentation, grrr. I don't get weighed by CDC for 2 weeks so hoping for a genuine drop by then, won't adjust ticker until then anyway.

Have a fab day everyone, take care & be good!
