Lots to lose ! Anyone else got lots to lose!

that's nice we three have roughly the same amount to lose :) I started jan 18th this year. so about 6 and a half months... nearly 7. Kanika, i'd stick with extra easy then introduce red and green days when you start to lag, it kind of shocks your body into dropping more again, after doing red and green for a few weeks i did a week of extra easy and i dropped 2.5lbs again, so that was good!

Great!! i would also do the same... somehow i think i end up doing Red days only as i dont eat enough salad, so it kinda becomes a Red day!! Nice dat we have same amount to lose.... The key is to just stick to it i guess!! Kudos to you for losing so much in just over 6 months :) Keep it up!!

Hope alls going well with everyone here
I have'nt been on line for a while as very unexpected my dad died

Just wanted to let you know my weight has been a bit up and down but my total loss is now 3st
Really pleased with that, loosing dad is heartbreaking as we were really close, but its given me the push I needed to get on with my weight loss. Life is far too short...

So so sorry to hear that chris. I hope you are keeping ok. 3 stone is brilliant. I'm sure he is very proud of you and what you have achieved so far

Very sorry to read that you lost your dad, I hope you and your family are managing ok, it's so sad. As Franalamadingdong has already said, 3 stone is amazing and your dad would be proud. Take care x

Mandy, you'll soon see the lbs disappearing. I know some people have had their diabetes go away through following the sw diet, I hope you are as lucky too. Just remember you can't change the past but you can change the future :)

Katoof you have done astonishingly well. I am stunned. Maybe changing things around might help boost you again? if you do EE swap to doing red and green for a week, or maybe try success express. You could try changing the exercise you do, so if you usually do zumba or running, try aqua-aerobics or spinning? It'll hopefully confuse your body and make it work harder. If none of these work you could ask your consultant about fast forward, but it is pretty miserable and needs to be a week when you aren't socialising.

I have at least 10stone to lose, I started in March at s.w. group and have lost 3 stone, loving the diet but still find it hard to eat, a lot of syns etc as am scared of putting some weight on, however have tried to eat more this week as the general opinion is that I have not been eating enough, tonight will tell, I admit to being somewhat nervous. Hope to be able to log on tonight and tell you all some good news, tho' as I am new to this site I am having difficulty in finding my way around, good luck to everyone who is weighing in tonight xxx

Thanks Franalamadingdong (love your username), I'm already noticing a big difference in my blood sugars, my doc will be pleased and I feel so good knowing that I'm being proactive and not just relying on the drugs.

Hi Someday, 3 stone is a brilliant weight loss so far and I hope that you have some good news to tell us later on tonight, will keep my fingers crossed for you. :)

I too would like to join the 10st club, I started in March 2012 have lost 3 stone but still have 10 to go, first diet I have ever been on that I enjoy and feel this time I WILL succeed. My weigh day is Thursdays I look forward to these days as it is like a friendly outing. Good luck everyone xx

that's great mandy. i know i'm lucky to not have developed any health problems because of my weight. it is great you are seeing a positive effect already. Thanks for the name compliment, you can just call me fran, :)

someday, that's brilliant. I got caught buying twirl multipack by a fellow slimming world member today. tee hee. they're 4.5 syns per finger so it's not too bad, and i got to tell her i'd done two success express days this week too :)

I have around 10st to lose, so coming in to join you. I started in October 2011, got to a 1st 10lb loss by Xmas. Faffed around since then, and, putting on and taking off, now am at 1-3½ loss :-(. Don't know why I do it to myself!

Decided 3 weeks ago to stop being silly so made meal plans, followed it to the T and bloomin' gained 2lbs (6½lbs gain in 2 weeks), I was devastated :cry:but stuck to it for the second week and managed to lose 4½lbs (even avoided fish and chips at the beach the same day I gained the 2). Since Friday I've barely had an appetite, trying to eat but def not eating enough, so dreading the scales on Wednesday.. I do feel very bloated so must try and get some more fluids down to see if that helps.

Hey Someday, you've done really well so far. I agree about this diet, it's been brill so far, I'm not even looking at it as a diet, just a healthier way of eating. Good luck on Thursday :)

Hi Fran :) I admire your self control, don't think I've got to the stage where I could buy a multipack of chocolatey goodness without eating the lot! It made me laugh that you got caught by a fellow slimming world member, I popped into the chinese takeaway to get a crabmeat and sweetcorn soup the other day and was thinking I bet someone from SW walks past lol

Hi PaulaL66. I think you deserve a big pat on the back for not giving up and sticking with it! Good luck with the scales on Wednesday. :)

2lbs off, going to start going back to the gym to try and speed it up a little bit! It is really good to keep looking at this group, really motivates! x

mandy, no tesco's is safe, they're all out in force checking my shopping, although usually i get to laugh at what's in their trolley "it's not mine, it's for the wife! honest! honest!" hahaha. I once snuck behind another member in the street and said "no going to the bakery!" and she exclaimed, "how did you know!?!" hahaha, she was going to get cheese straws. "for my husband really." "really?" "wellll..... he might have one." hahaha. it's a small place here.

Paula, fluids really do help flush everything out :)

hahaha, I have this image of SW members peering around the corners of the aisles and hiding behind stacks of baked beans :D

I work all over the south east and visit supermarkets on my break so not much chance of meeting anyone, bit different with the local takeaways though!

Rachael, good luck at the gym, how do you find it? I'm not brave enough to go yet.

Hi Kanika, hope you get your motivation back and hope you have a great weekend in Bournemouth, it's lovely there.

Um, the gym... To be honest it is not great at the moment, but, when I was going a lot last year, after the first week I actually started to enjoy it and missed it if I didnt go (then I went away for a month and lost the motion of it!) So today was not too bad, I went on the bike and did 10km and then on the rowing machines, when I joined I did the induction and one of the trainers decided a training regime that works for quick weight loss and builds strength quickly. I follow that for the first couple of weeks and then adapt it. I think the fear of the gym is feeling like you should not be in there (which I do) but to be honest I plug in my music and go! I would give it a try tho! :D (i am hoping it does indeed speed up weight loss!) x

Wow Rachael, I'm seriously impressed! 10km on the bike plus rowing...they would be carting me off in an ambulance lol

I'm definitely going to give this some thought, a bit worried about cost though, but I'm going to see my diabetic nurse when I'm there next month as I remember her mentioning a local exercise scheme.

I lost 3lbs last night which meant I reached my first goal of getting into the 18s, am well chuffed :)

well done mandy... almost 1 stone lost!!!

rachael, i used to swim daily and i started to think i didn't belong there, but as i was going every day i felt like i owned the place, it was my second home. and i used to swim faster and stronger than those half my size. a group of lads got their friend to race me once. i gave him 1/3rd of a length headstart and i was at the other end and he'd given up at half way. he got mocked a lot, but the poor sods didn't realise i was there every day.

Hi everyone... can I join in? I have a lot of weight to lose and have been struggling lately as my weight loss has been yo-yo-ing :( I keep persevering and the last 2 weeks have shown weight losses...albeit only a half pound each week. I would like it to be more though and I think these forums are just the right way to keep up my motivation :)
