M&S Black Bean Sauce?

Howdy.

I bought this thinking it would be quite low syn - these type quite often are! Anyway...just popped it in the syn calculator and the whole jar is 14 syns (green).

What I'm wondering is, do I count any of the ingredients as free food? I'm on a green day and the sauce includes red and green peppers, black beans (obv!) water chestnuts, garlic etc. Or do I ignore that and go with 7 syns for the half jar???

I would go with the whole syns, mate. The items that constitute free food are very low in calories so would barely make a difference to the overall syn value anyway

I think better to be safe than sorry on this one
