i'm so mad right now, saturday night i got prescribed tamiflu (which i wont take as the side effects are nasty) as most of you know i've been really ill since wedsnesday (as i have suspected oinkflu) i managed to get outta bed for the 1st time yesterday but i still feel really ill. i'm still on my VLCD but i feel so down and no one is in the hse and i just ate a cheese sandwich which i didnt even enjoy as i couldnt taste it:mad: i havent been in ketosis since thursday because all the cold remadies i'm on as they have citrid acid in them and the honey i been putting in for my throat.

should i continue with my VLCD or should i start eating until i'm better?

    sorry to winge

Hi Jo sorry you are feeling so ill. I'm not an expert but I dont think you should be on a VLCD when your immune system is low. I know that Cambridge have strict guidelines regarding illness and I would imagine that as the other diets are nutritionally similar you shouldn't be on packs if you are very ill.

If you can I would eat foods that are low in carbs but high in nutrition. Eggs, nuts, avacado, fish, cheese would all be good (if you can face them). Soup either homemade of bought fresh would be good too.

    Take care of yourself.

    Jac
