Step4 1200kcal Maintenance query!

Hi all,


Just a query really... I am on my first week of step 4 and enjoying eating 'proper meals' again. However, I've started to use the 'my fitness pal' app so I can get used to it before I stop cambridge completely and am left to my own devises (terrifying thought!!) Anyway, I have been inputting all the ingredients for the recipes ive been making out of the cambridge handbook and the meals in minutes book, and even though I'm following the plan to the letter my calorie count is always over 1200. It normally falls somewhere between 1250 and 1290. My councillor was adamant I should make sure I eat everything on the plan, but now im wondering if i should leave out some of the fruit which is recommended for dessert?
I don't like to mess with the plan and I am conscious that if I hadn't started using the app I would have just trusted what the book told me and be none the wiser!!
Anyone else have any ideas?
