Making shakes without a blender?

    Just made a CD shake, first time without a blender. Didn't really know what to do so I mixed the powder with a little bit of water, slow adding more water. I don't even have a whisk here! ha It's pretty darn lumpy though. Anyone else have a different method not involving a whisk or blender? I might have to go back to my parents to pick up my blender and my shaker cup!

    I mix them with a bit of water until they are cake batter consistency, then eat them with a spoon as I don't like them as shakes!

    That doesn't help you much though. My CDC sells a kind of manual shaker with a grill at the top that takes out the lumps.

    without a blender or shaker they are always lumpy a whisk might help though good luck with your lumps lol

    It wasn't toooo bad in the end, could cope with it! I've got one of those shakers with the grill thing, just it's at my parents!

    Ooh I might take a look Megan! No chance I'm making the porridge without one!

    I think you're right Kerry, I'm either going to have to get my blender or deal with lumps!

    the hand shaker things are ok but I find they take alot of shaking I take my hand mixer everywhere just keep it in my bag they are so cheap I have one at home and one I keep in my bag.

    you dont really need a blender for the porridge, i put mine in a bowl mix it thru with a fork so theres no big lumps then when it comes out the microwave its fine

    I think my tesco value one was £3 something and it does a brilliant job!

    i use the shaker, yeah it takes some hard shaking, i just view it as exercise for my bingo wings, lol

    the kee diet do a good shaker. it has a little whisk in it that takes the lumps out
