Massive Fail, PLEASE Help!

Hi everyone,

I've been on SS now for 16 days and doing just fine (lost 14lb!) but then this weekend everything just went wrong. I bought bars from my CDC on Friday and I love them so much I ended up having 2 on Friday and 2 today (so 4 meals in total as I also had 2 shakes each day, when I should only be having 3!). I felt really weak and I was so hungry I ended up cooking some chicken and ate a cucumber. Massive fail!

Will I be back to zero tomorrow? Does this mean I won't lose any weight this week?

Does anyone have any advice, please??! I'm super disappointed in myself as I had set myself a target of doing really well for another 3 weeks.

Also, does anyone also find they really like the bars and crave them like sweets? I'm thinking I shouldn't buy them anymore.

Hey, just wanted to say that I had the bars 2 weeks ago and after I had them I started nibbling like mad, I explained this to my CDC and she said that they can do this to people as they are actually eating it sort of triggers you to start wanting to eat instead of just have your shakes etc., she advised me that I avoid them, since I've been back on shakes its been hard but I dont feel as tempted to eat so if I were you i'd think about it an consider not having them at all. :)

Thanks so much, I'm definately thinking the same. They taste so good it feels like eating a chocolate bar and then I just want more and more. Plus I really don't want them to slow down my weight loss--every calories counts!

Do you eat the mousse? I really like that but it also feels like a treat.

Hey, yes I eat the mousse, it does feel like a treat but thats what I see it as, and I find it quite filling so I don't tend to pick after I've eaten it! plus you dont have to chew it which I think triggered me off on the nibbles!

Have a good chat with your CDC and find out what's right for you!

im on week 3 and bought some bars last week but i think its playing with my head and im worried i wont lose as much as being on the bars? im sure you will still lose hun!

I always have the bars last thing at night, chopped in pieces and dipped in my coffee. That way I cant nibble after as it's bed time and it's my end of day treat that gets me through.

Hi,
Just to say, having a bar will not stop you losing weight some people find the bars do not agree with them.
I had a bar every day on my journey and still got good losses.
If you do not want one every day have one every other or twice a week.

Can I just say TMB - that is NOT a massive fail, you had chicken and cucumber, both of which are allowed on ss+, ok so you probably had more than the allowance but I doubt you would have totally ruined your diet, draw a line under it and look at today as a fresh day!

As for the bars, I have them for convenience at work as its difficult having the soup when you have customers to serve as I don't close for lunch, I just eat when its quiet! I also love the bars and could happily scoff them down in 2 seconds flat, but what I do is have half and then wait another hour for the other half, it is teaching me to slow down and enjoy them rather than just be greedy, I am trying to get rid of the greedy B*tch inside me lol!!!

I always have a bar for breakfast,or save it for lunch if going out and when I am sticking to this diet 100 percent I have great loses- my bar gets me going in the morning I love it!x

It is so difficult not to feel down after you have strayed a little, however I do agree that you have to draw a line under it and refocus on your long term goals. I've found the last couple of days a bit tough and really want to eat something but it's not because I'm hungry, I just want to eat! :(
I haven't had any of the bars yet - had them previously and couldn't control myself! - and so this time I am using them as a little treat for when I get to various goals. I have 7lbs to go and then I will let myself have one and only one!!
Don't worry about it, it was only one day, you can do it xxxxxxx
