Hello gang,
Joined the forums a couple of weeks ago hoping to make some friends and have some support during my 'journey'
Started SW on the 15th of October 2013 and I lost 5 lbs in my first week. I was quite pleased with that loss, but I would have liked a bit more if I'm honest. However, that first week I was going through a lot of family issues, but tried my very best to stick to the plan and even managed three 1.5 hour sessions at the gym.
This week has been okay so far. I've stuck to the plan and aim to visit the gym for five 2 hour work outs (yesterday and today counting as two). I've reached that stage where I'm finding the exercise addictive and always wanting to go! Which can only be a good thing, right?
I used to live on sandwiches and crisps for breakfast, pies, crisps, biscuits before lunch, then a full English for lunch, followed by more pies, crisps and biscuits, before a huge deep fried meal in the evenings followed by pudding. And even then I'd make a sandwich and take some crisps up to bed with me before tucking into a big bar of Dairy Milk and washing it down with a can or two of Coca-Cola. It really does make me sick how bad my diet really was at that point.
My aim is to lose 5 stone by July 15th next year. My starting weight was 18 stone 11 lbs, and I'm hoping to get down to 13 stone 11 lbs. That's another 65 pounds to lose in 37 weeks. That means I need to lose an average of 2 lbs a week to achieve my target in time. Which is exactly what I was hoping for. If I could fit into 'Large' tshirts at the end of it, and perhaps into a pair of 36" jeans, I'd be extremely happy.
Next weigh-in is on Tuesday! Hopefully I've managed to lose 2-3 lbs so that I can proudly announce that I've lost half a stone!
