Hi all my second week starts Monday, doing well - I think but I am out with friends on tuesday and the meal they are cooking is stuffed belly of pork in apple cider sauce with veg and mash, I will just have meat and veg but sticky toffee pudding for desert, can I have a small meringue with strawberries or will it really knock me off? Thanks x

Meringues are full of sugar. Sugar = carbs. The short answer is you can't have things with sugar in while you're trying to lose weight on this diet. You can buy sugar free meringues made with sweetner on the internet, but you have to count the carbs in those. Real meringues are a definite no no.

Berries shouldn't be eaten on induction either, really. But if you weigh them and count the carbs they're ok occasionally.

You most likely want to avoid the apple cider sauce, too.
