My hosts in India (I'm going there on business tomorrow - eek!) have been so sweet about my low carb woe - but they're asking me about quinoa, buckwheat, foxtail millet and pearl millet. I'm assuming it's a "no" for all of them, carbs-wise?
(I don't want to be awkward but on the other hand if I can manage to have a low carb meal I'd prefer it!)
I was going to suggest no grains, cauliflower or other non-starchy vegetables instead?
