Minimins High Summer 2021 challenge

It may feel a little disappointing with sts but always a win in my eyes when you don't gain. Tomorrow is another week and that can bring favourable results.
Yes, @purpleorc - from a macro point of view I fundamentally agree that an sts is always a win. To be honest, given where I’ve been, staying at 15st 13lbs for the rest of my life would be a huge win for me but there’s also a part of me that really wants to take advantage of this current motivation and push to get to 14st something - really try to get my BMI nearer to 30 and maintain from there.

I just got a new chest freezer delivered yesterday so I’m going to try batch cooking. I’ve never done this before, I cook from fresh every day but am trying to find more time in my day to exercise so figured batch cooking might help. Fingers crossed it’ll work out...

I batch cook, well wherever is possible. it makes some days easier to make homecooked meals soups, chilli, Bolognese, curry and casseroles are just a few easy ones that freeze well. The time I save gives me a little more time to do exercise. It is great to have homecooked meals on busy or can't be bothered days lol

You sound like your goals are similar to mind I would love to get below BMI of 30 and try and maintain if I go lower all well and good. I feel the same as you. Compared to where I was a year ago. Barely able to move without being in lots of pain and breathless I blamed it for a long time on MS when I was playing an ostrich and burying my head in the sand. When I admitted to myself it was likely to be the weight causing a lot of the issues. I am never going to be pain free and can't exercise like others do. I am in a much heathier state. I eat lots of fruit and veg and very little sugar and processed foods now. I have so much more energy which for me is precious. it is great to go to regular shops and buy clothes rather than specialist shops. I can get what i like rather than what fits.

I lost 2lb this week. I am overjoyed:wee:, I am now in obese class 1. My BMI has come down nearly 10 points. I started at 44.2 😨 and today i am 34.8. Next goal is to reach 4.5 stones lost. 1 more pound need to get that.

Purpleorc and Harley, you both have done amazing well and should be proud of yourselves.

Changing lifestyl is not easy but gradually you get used to it. I am never going back to being big and full of excues.

Batch cooking is great for busy days and can't be bothered ones. I make most of my food fresh - my food is easy cooking and salad, but from time to time when I have to buy bigger packs of things like chicken and meat and some bargain vegetables then I do some batch cooking.

Well done again and keep the good work up. Don't worry about losing slowly - the slower you lose, the more you maintain it as your body gets used to it.

Thank you for the advice gratefully received. i normally plod along at 1lb to 2lb a week lost which I am happy at. Weight loss isn't a race we all move at our own pace.

In the beginning is was tough going working out syns, hexa and hexb but as time goes on before you know it is second nature. For me planning is paramount that way i do not go over my syns and I can see if I have enough left over for a cheeky treat or two lol

1lb off for me this week. Was hoping for more but I'm a loss is a loss

Finally a loss for me! I am down 2.9lb from last week. I am so happy with that although I do hope it will stick. I haven’t been able to exercise which is a big loss to me. I took 207.8 as my start weight so really 2.3lb off but that is a great motivator. I am so pleased.
Well done on the losses @purpleorc, @Simone45, @DeeOne_UK, @Ravenous, @Halley and @boofle. It is lovely to see so many losses.

congrats on weight loss this week, I am like you unable to exercise due to bursitis in my hips. So I understand the frustration i am chomping at the bit to do some. Never thought I would be saying that the gold medal winner in being a couch potato. So I am trying to be as active in the house as my hips permit. Doing all those jobs you put off. So getting cupboards and draws sorted out. Didn't realise I had so many draws until I started lol. Going to tackle clothing over the weekend and bag for charity any that are too big. I will do mine and hubbies. As hubby has lost nigh on 4.5 stone as well. so older clothes are very baggy.
