Poor Minks :( Feel better soon Hun.
Really know what its like - I have to have Botox treatment at Pinderfields Hosp for my Migraines since my Brain Op......was getting 20+ a month.

Rest up & hope it passes soon xxx


Bl00dy hell, I grumble when I get one every few wks, they just knock you out for hours, I try & work through being ill but it's not possible with a migraine, they are awful.

Minks I hope after sleeping you feel better xx
 
Minks, hope you are feeling better this morning - I am joining you on the poorly bench - woke early with a stomach upset :-(
 
Hey everyone, feeling a bit better today although not 100%, immensly dehydrated this morning. I would say its a good job I'm on annual leave but great way to start ay? I've go to go into work this afternoon to do some bits but literally 2 hours work.

very tired and drained. Taking it easy for most of the day, will do an online food shop and probably give the flat a blitz. The boy wanted to play computer games but i'm not sure sitting at a pc will do me any favours.

Sorry guys, I need to vent and dont know where to do it without this person finding out!! So upset, I run my own coffee shop/sandwich bar business and have 6 staff work for me. I have just had one of the staff approach me to tell me that she and another member of staff have seen the supervisor under-ring sales on the till on friday and then when she cashes up is pocketing the extra money from the till. I have been so focussed on going to the gym/aqua aerobics, etc that I have been leaving work early and left her to cash up - what a trusting fool I am!!! I am devasted and dont know what to do :cry: Cant even say or behave differently in the store as she will suss something is wrong. I am meant to be going to aqua fit in an hour and too upset to go, knowing what is happening behind my back:flamingmad:

Oh hun. You need to be logical and professional. This is theft and gross misconduct. I don't see any other choice for you but to dismiss. You are not a fool - you have to trust people in the work place and if a supervisor even more so. Can you seek legal advise on how to move forward in this?

Totally horrid situation for you to be in but you are not to blame. You haven't done anythinh wrong so do not put any of it on yourself xxx

Agreed. Alleged Gross misconduct. What's wrong with people. Makes me mad.

Not justifying it but is there something happening outside of work to make that person have stolen the money? Like, are they in trouble and just haven't got the courage to ask?

Agreed.....Its a minefield dealing with staff issues like this. You have to have all the facts (preferably documented in the form of a witness statement from the colleagues) before jumping in or you could be at the sticky end of a wrongful dismissal case :( xx
 
Todays food. Green day.

Breakfast - mushrooms and garlic on toast with cheese HexA

Banana

Lunch 3 melba toast, boursin light on 2 and syrup on the third. 4 syns.

Hifi bar HexB

Dinner - all ready for the boy to put in the oven is mac n cheese HexA plus 1 syn for little 5g extra cheese. I have boiled some BNS and blitzed that into the mix too for more superfree. Don't know how it'll taste but sure it will be fine.

Off to work now and then will play badminton after for an hour. Hoping to get through that ok. Then home, dinner and pudding which is sweetened chunks of bns with cinnamon and yogurt xx
 
I've prepared mac n cheese too! Having mine after Zumba.

Thanks for eating the chilli and corriander prawns, I bought some at the weekend they're very nice x

never a problem me eating prawns :D they are lovely though aren't they? The garlic ones are great too xx
 
Thanks guys, so confused. 2staff have observed her under- ringing sales through the till and printed off those last receipts. They had made the sandwiches, so know exactly what the customer had ordered and have evidence of what was charged. Have taken HR advise, we need to catch her in the act of doing this at the time, and confront her with an investigation. It's either that or put up cameras, I have to tell the staff I am putting up cameras, as this infringes on their human rights! What about my rights not to be stolen from ! I had planned to pretend to go to aqua fit and come back early and cash up to see what "extra" money was in the till, but have left it as I didn't want to make her suspicious !

What an awful situation to be in, you've done the right thing in contacting HR, they are the right people to help you sort this out & get the result you want without incurring any problems. I do hope you get it sorted soon x

The sauce was better using blitzed bns, didn't split or set too thick. Actually was more like a sauce this time. Will defo do this again xx
