Moonwatcher's (Final) Diary

hahaha i was laughing to myself i did a musical when i was at school and i had to wear a wig half way through mine flow off but the peeps love id and thought it was part of it lolol

Lol. Sounds like our Staff Panto at school! We have plenty of those ad-lib moments. Mind you, most of ours are down to lack of rehearsal. We are never knowingly over rehearsed!

nice day moonwatch

Ooooh well done on the boots! Pics if you have time, please :).

And how did you stop at one square of the Lindt??? I've discovered i just shouldn't have chocolate in the house. Or biscuits. Some days I'm fine with them, others - well it's worse than food porn :D

Will try and get a pic of all three pair together up - although they're not very exciting - all three pairs are black!

Re the chocolate - I try to only have dark chocolate in the house now - OH can have a small amount of the 70/90%, and I can resist it more easily - I seem to find it more satisfying. Now, a large bar of Cadbury's... that would be a different story!

Ooh! Those boots bring back memories MW.. used to wear lots of high heels.. 4" tbh..Lurrved them!

Food sounds great too.. well done you.

Actually the smarter pair are wedges - not quite sure why I wrote heels - I tried so many pairs on, I think I addled my brain! They're about 3" - only for staying in school days - definitely not trips out with the kids!

Sunday 8th March

It's been a lovely sunny day today, so OH and I decided to take a visit to the dump. Oh, how we live life! The plan was head to the dump, unload the messy vanload of stuff, and then back home for brunch. By 10.00am we were in the massive queue for the dump, only to find when we finally got in that all the areas were piled high, and we would never be able to lift our stuff high enough to get in where it needed to go. Undeterred, we turned round to drive to a different dump, where we finally unloaded and eventually headed back for a long overdue brunch! Was very pleased that I managed to resist the goodies at the petrol station, and also managed to pop into McDonald's (desperately needed the loo!) and only indulged in a regular cappuccino.

Will update with full foody details later, as I haven't finished eating for the day yet (!), but I have to say that we were very impressed with the SW sausages. OH is very fussy about sausages, so I fully expected to be using them up cold during the week, but we ate three each as part of a pretty impressive brunch plateful!

Afternoon spent catching up on a bit of washing and ironing, and some feet up time with the TV (we're re-watching LOST, which is taking some time!)

Food report for today...decided to have an old fashioned SW Red day today, as I fancied some extra cheese, and brunch was meat and veg only. Can't record this properly on the SW website diary, as it isn't configured for Red days now, although apparently somewhere on the site it says you can still do them!

Brunch: SW sausages, bacon, tomatoes, oven-baked flat mushrooms, topped with scrambled eggs, spring onions and green jalapenos

Snacks: Plums, an apple, one Thornton's choc

Evening: 4 GF cracker thins, 2 original cheese triangles and one blue cheese light triangle, one ounce Black Bomber cheddar, ham, toms, gherkin, pickled onions, 16 almonds, a clementine

Drinks: NAS squash, one regular Mcdonald's cappuccino, one Maxwell House Mocha sachet, water, half a can of cider

HEAs: Cheddar and cheese triangles
HEBs: GF cracker thins and almonds
Syns: 15.5

Moonie you are a very clever woman, that is a brilliant idea! I'm the same - could snaffle milk choc down in no time but can't eat too much dark choc in one sitting - yaye, will add that to my shop now! :)

Aren't they yummy? I've realised I can only cook 3 at a time or I will eat the lot (as evidenced last week )!

Love yesterday's menu, that is a smashing brekkie! :)

Hi chezz, doing OK thanks. Came in from work, got changed and went straight out to see the 5.30 showing of "The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel." I think it was actually better than the first, which is quite unusual. Maggie Smith is just brilliant. Have just finished washing up after a late dinner. Will update food in a mo.

Yeah I can leave the popcorn alone - it's the pick & mix that gets me. Dreadful for diet & hugely overpriced!!

Luckily I'm not a popcorn fan either - I'll take a Hifi bar :)

Well they obviously don't make a lot of money out of popcorn sales from us - I'm not a mad fan either, not of the cinema type anyway. Good idea on the Hifi bar Susie. Grapes are always a hit with me too, as it feels like you're eating sweets!
