I have a tub of quark in the fridge and no idea what to do with it, but have just seen a mushroom pate recipe on the SW website.

Does anyone know how long the pate would keep for in the fridge if I can't use it all straight away?

Probably a couple of days which is how long it seems to take for quark to go yukky once opened.
Other than that, the sniff and/or mould test usually works for me!!
 
You can add garlic/chives/chilli's to it to make dips too (or to stuff chicken breasts with). I believe someone added a Skinny Cow hot chocolate sachet to one once too - like a choc mousse.
I also add scraps of smoked salmon to quark for a sm salmon pate - yum!
It generally needs to be left overnight for the flavour to infuse!

It's not nice on it's own but it takes the flavour of whatever you put into it (hence I said leave overnight!) It's just like a sharp soft cheese really. I know a lot of people add a few Laughing Cow to them (count them as your HEa) and the next day the whole tub tastes like LC - much more bang for your buck!
 
I mix mine with tuna instead of mayo. :p
