My 99-Day Countdown - hopefully!

Hi All,

New to this website - found it while googling Slim n Save. Looks absolutely fantastic and has inspired me to go forward with this journey - and hopefully inspire others along the way. So here goes with my first weight loss diary!

I've dieted before - usually an annual event for me. I usually go for the VLCD route, as my problem with food is not over-eating - it's just eating really badly. Food generally doesn't excite me, so I usually grab something sweet - uh-oh! So here goes - I've got my Slim n Save shakes for one week (not sure if the other food packs appeal, but we'll see!)

Hope I get some followers on this - need the inspiration! I worked out that there's 99 days until the end of the year - I think, so hence my countdown. If l succeed in going all the way till then, that will be the first time ever!

So......... a few hours into my Slim n Save journey!

Drank 1/2 litre of water first thing - then had a chocolate shake for breakfast. Shake is lovely - whenever I can, I blend mine with ice, so it tastes just like a fast-food milkshake! Continued to drink water, so currently consumed just over a litre, which is great (I'm usually a fizzy drink-drinker!)

All's well so far - although I've had 4 trips to the loo! I guess the constant trudging up the stairs constitutes exercise.........

Well done so far hun
Keep posting, keep up the water and the time will pass

Get through those first few days and you will be away so easy after that Xx

Hey and good luck on your countdown. Im on day 1 of restart today so im glugging the water as i type x

This forum is superb so welcome and well done for starting.

Look forward to reading how you are doing on this fantastic journey x

Thanks Ladies - you all seem to be doing so well, which helps!

Managed to consume nearly 2 litres of water and just had my second shake - vanilla - which was quite nice.

Think I made the mistake of having what I thought would be a nice, relaxing bath - I now feel quite weak and ready to sleep! Fortunately, got to drag myself to go and get my daughter from school, so that should hopefully help!

Looking forward to dinner already........

Welcome to the forum & best of luck with your S&S journey :)

Thanks Jan.

Well, chicken and veg for evening meal, which was probably my least enjoyable meal of the day - how strange is that! Managed to consume 3 litres of water so far and will probably try and get one in before I retire to bed.

Not expecting a great night's sleep, as I'll probably be up and down the stairs to the toilet - but at least I should be guaranteed to be lighter in the morning!

So............. one down, 98 to go.........

nice one :) and welcome to the forum. I'm restarting today and water is the key. The meals are pretty nice too and give a bit more variation, I'm a sucker for the bars in an evening though

Keep on and we can all get through 99 days together

Hi Derika love the countdown. I'm doing a similar thing and have the days on my fridge and I tick off each day I've completed the next morning. Threshing you all the very best and no restarts ever just lots of losses ( on the weight front that is!) x

Thanks Dovy and Kira - if only weight-loss was as easy as correcting predictive text :)

Well, I can say I'm officially starving - not helped by my daughter consuming chocolate in front of me - aaaaarrrrgh!

I'm safely tucked up now with a bottle of water.............. when that's finished, I guess if I get peckish through the night, I can chew the plastic!!

'Night All :wave_cry:

Survived the night - with only 2 trips to the loo!

Woke up this morning not feeling too bad. Managed to drink a litre of water before and during the school run, so happy with that.

Just had a hazelnut shake, which was lovely.

Got a bit of a headache and backache, but ok overall. Will definitely keep drinking the water and hopefully be able to get a lie down later.

I am a bit scale obsessive when doing a diet, so had to hop on them this morning - pleased to report they've moved in the right direction! But given the frequent loo visits, so they should! Good job I've got a cash and carry card - really going to have to stock up on loo rolls over the next few weeks!

Have a good day all :p

yey glad you had a decent night :) it's always the worst one for me so to get through it is an achievement :)

I think I should take out shares in Andrex! LOL x

The more the pee the skinnier you'll be :)

Trust me ladies - as long as it's coming out, I'm happy!

Day 2 has been a bit of a trawl. Morning didn't start too badly, but then had to go out and about. Had a headache for most of the day, but know I just have to push through with it for the next couple of days. Have done really well with the water, managing over 3 litres, but not managed 3 shakes today. Did have some chicken, which helped on the energy front, so not done too badly on calories, albeit not too well on nutrients - thank God for the multi-vitamins!

Looking forward to Day 3 and 4, and hopefully a return to feeling like I am a member of the human race and not a zombie! I must admit I do have moments when I'm absolutely gagging for some chocolate, but haven't let a morsel pass my lips, which is an achievement for me - especially given the fact that my household seem to be feasting on it at the moment!

Overall - it's just Woo-Hoo! 2 down, 97 to go.............

keep going! if you do crave the chocolate on your next order get the bars, I had the praline today and it was lush.

but yes, 2 days down!

Start of Day 3 and have woken up not feeling too bad.

Continued with my scale addiction this morning....... there still moving - WooHoo!! Not going to focus on amounts just yet as I'm sure there'll be fluctuations throughout the week.

Don't need anyone to tell me about by bad breath - struggling to cope with it myself, good grief! Thank God for Smints - I seem to be washing my mouth with them at the moment. Hopefully this rather unpleasant side effect will soon cease - pleeeeeeeaaasssssssse!

Haven't had a shake yet - and hoping for a restful day, apart from the school run.

Welll done, you are doing great

I am on day 12 now, and trust me I couldn't imagine I was ever going to get this far, but it has gone really quick.

Looking forward to knowing how much you lose on your first weigh in :)
