My CD SS diet starts today

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Could even do the 5/2 but with protein based foods. I just can't see me sticking with this unless I have a massive loss this week like 7lbs. Ah well see, I have about 30 products to get through before I do anything else.
 
Yeah sounds like a good plan at least u are thinking about alternative options if u feel like u need to.

But try n stick to this as much as u can tho i do know what u mean i would love to see 5-7 lbs a week off consistently.

I just want to see size tens again once i see them regardless of what weight i am at that point lost likely i will go back to 5/2 as its just bit more flexible and fits my lifestyle more in general.

The two fasts if u miss one day u can just switch it over to another day thats what i love about it.

Guys in general tend to lose quicker then girls anyway.

Maybe see where you are by week 6 hun and then see how you feel.

That is what I have decided will do get to week 6 or week 8 or week 10 n then decided.

Will also use Cambridge and 5:2 or 4:3 which is three 500 day cals rather then two as my options for me to lose weight as I know these three options definitely work.

This time round I feel like I am more in control and not just seeing the vlcd as be all and end all.

Slimming world and WW is something I just cant do so not even going to attempt to dabble in them two unless I grow in confidence with either one.

But for my actual weight loss journey will be using Cambridge and the fasting options as it makes me relaxed and not having to cal count as much on non fast days or count syns etc. Might use some of the sw meals for non fast days but would never be able to follow slimming world to lose weight.

We are here to support each other for sure but I have also reaslied I have come to a point in life where I have a better understanding of what works for me and yeah there are moments where I think life is short and is not realistic to live off powdered stuff forever - may take a few weeks or months or a year or two but its human nature to want food as food as much as I hate to say is easily associated with socialising its just one of those things.

Even after something like rock climbing one would want to eat after that lol whether its a sandwich or a full sit down meal or picnic.

My sister passed second year her first question when can we go and have a meal lol when you go the movies I don't know about you but my weakness is for sure nachos at the movies it just doesn't feel right otherwise so suppose its a good thing don't go there often haha.

Good luck hun we are all here for each other - and think that is what I love about this forum.

For me it would be also money element if I thought it would get to a point where its starting to get too expensive n not seeing the results I want then that another factor that would make me want to switch over to 5:2 as the fast days you can buy soups for like a pound which will fill u up from aldi for the fast days or ready meals again from aldi.

I love Cambridge or any VLCD but at the same time like you have said even though every one has different results the results want to be seen I am more of a visual person so for me definitely more about the sizes and would be happy seeing tens on clothes as well as on the scales.

As bad as it sounds I also don't think would have the patience to work up the steps either but that is something I would take as my own personal risk.

I hope this helps that you are not alone that we all have thoughts like that but if you have a option b then it doesn't feel as bad or daunting or overwhelming.

I guess we are all struggling together. I like that there is a few of us in the group too now.

With the 5:2 or 4/3, how many calories do you have the main 5/4 days, just 500 then nothing the other 2/3?
 
So if you are doing 5:2 then you would do 500 cals on two days and the other days people do it differently some people count 1800-2000 calories on the normal days or you have the non counters like me where I just ensured I ate within a 8 hour window so I would always skip breakfast - either miss lunch or have something small and then dinner in the evening pretty much what I wanted whether its was grilled chicken and veg and mash or a sweet jacket potato or stiry fry a foot long subway etc - it is just trail and error to be honest but I know I am a rubbish calorie counter the only reason as to why I can do the 500 cals is coz on ready meals and ready soups etc the calories for the whole thing is already on there lol.

The same principle for 4:3 you would have 500 cals for three days so I used to do Monday tuesdasy and Thursdays so would be able to relax Wednesdays mid week hump and the weekends but also not stuff myself silly hence why I used to give myself 8 hours in a day and that can be any 8 hours in a day I am not much of a brekki person so never used to mind not having breakfast and you would still be in a fasted state as you didn't eat anything overnight. The longer you fast the better the results they say and the more water you drink also better results. You can never do more then two days in a row either so you can do a b2b which is two days in a row then weigh or you can do like Monday and Wednesday then weigh.

So in nine weeks I went from 14,4 to 12.2 then fell ill with the flu but lost consistently 2-4lb a week and loved the flexibility of it. so one week you could Monday and Wednesday the following week you can do Tuesday and Thursday as your fast days.

Most ppl actually find they lose inches quite bit on that lifestyle think I was a exception lol lost on scales but not so much in inches haha which is what made me come back and like with any diet if you end up overeating when ur off the diet you will gain back and I am not going to lie I did go bit ott with the carb intake lol...with thee xcuse of me being ill with the flu had it for like 2 weeks was horrid. But once you are in the groove it reli is amazing.

You should always weigh after your second fast day and if you do throw a third one in the week I used to see that as a bonus fast.

Some ppl even do every other day but I wouldn't want to have to think about 500 cal days over the weekend lol...too much hard work haha.

But honestly its so flexble and you have choices and you get to actually live a normal life you can do low cal if you want to otherwise most ppl stil drink a glass of wine over the weekend but still lose.

I am not going to deny I came onto Cambridge as a cheat headstart lol..

Sometimes I do think if I was already in the 11's on the scales and then did the 4:3 then I might have been already to goal haha.
 
I think that sounds really good. I might give it a go after my shakes are finished this week as I'm not sure I can be bothered with shakes for 2-3lbs weight loss each week.

I was hoping to have lost at least 10-12lbs but I have only lost 7lbs so far which is depressing.

I will weigh tomorrow morning as half week WI as I have my dress fitting. I've got lots or shakes and bars to go though.

Can you drink alcohol on the 5/2 diet. I might do 4/3 like you said. I'm used to having less calories now with these shakes and I'd feel better eating when I'm out and about with people rather than making up excuses and it's more of a realistic life style.

I think if I only buy in ready made things I'll be able to stick to the 500cals on them days.

I'm currently having 3 key lime lime shakes a day. I have put one in the freezer to see if it turns into watery ice cream haha
 
Yes u can drink alcohol on 5/2 most ppl save it for the weeknds so by then they will have done their weigh in but yeah water is key and i generally stick to ready meals as well.

I know how u feel i reli thoght would have hit the stone n half by week 3 was hoping and ess hoping to have dropped a size by now :( will see where i am by end of july but august i just dont see the point of having a few days off here n there so might switch over to 5/2 for august september n maybe do cambridge for october november in time for xmas n what not till im hapy with myself n just stick to 5/2 then :).

Ur rite its more realistic way of life n ur not constantly stressing urslef out what to have each day the weeks i dont lose on a vlcd i feel like its a waste of a week lol i know not good but thats how i feel lol in general hah wheras with 5/2 its steady and still be able to go out and eat etc thats what i kinda miss the mosst will se how long i last n see how u get on hun nearly 200 a month feels like loads money wise lol its terrible haha if i can see the elevens while on this then i wouldnt mind losing he last two stone with 5/2 or more in my case 4/3 as i prefer that to 5/2 lol x as it breaks up my week nicely haha x
 
Day 18

Well today is going much better. I'm feeling pretty positive and got my dress fitting later :)

I've had my morning shake and I'm having my lunchtime shake now. I've had a double espresso lol (hope they are allowed on this diet)

Onwards and upwards. Here's hoping for a good weight loss on Saturday. Decided not to weigh to Saturday morning :)

Thanks I'm really excited about it. I don't think the dress alternations lady wants me to lose more as she'll need to adjust it again but we'll see.

Ideally i want another 7-10 lbs off before wedding.
Then another stone after wedding.
 
Day 19.

Think I'm addicted to key lime pie shakes. I love them. I don't get why I'm so hungry on this diet and others are full up.

The first week, I could only stomach 2 shakes but now I have 3 shakes or 2 shakes and a bar. I am always hungry. Is it because I'm not drinking enough water. I usually drink 3 litres a day at least.

I'm excited for this weeks weigh in. Starting to feeel more positive, just wish the hunger would go away. Like some days aren't as bad as others but I wake up with my tummy grumbling to be fed.

Well looking forward to day 20 woo!!

I have not tried key lime shakes as yet bit scared to haha - have stuck to safe options like chocolate, toffee and walnut, vanilla and the smoothies are quite nice :)

i am really going to try my hardest and make it to week 7 or week 8 and then see -

It's the only shake that doesn't smell powdery if that makes sense. I nearly didn't try it and was returning to CC when I though just try it..
I can't stomach the flavoured chocolate, banana, strawberry shakes. My CC doesn't have toffee or walnut or the watermelon water flavourings.

I like the key lime ones a lot and even made some ice shake with it. Was like a pudding or watery ice cream.

Roll on day 20. We do wish our lives away in this diet don't we!!

no way the water melon flavouring is well nice.

I can send you mine if you want i only got it last saturday and have only used it once but i can always ask my CD for another one if you would like mine.

It is really yummy or can send you half of my tub if you want to taste it?

Oo will need to see pictures of your wedding dresss bet its amazing :)

I am not a huge fan of toffee and walnut as well.

Thanks Pyria. It's ok, I've got a berry one and that'll do. I add it to sparkling water. You'd think they would all have access to the same products.

20 is a nice number. Really hoping for a good weight loss this week as have been so good and think I deserve to see the 10's.. roll on Saturday
