My first day

Well this is my first day on the Cambridge diet, my cdc came over this morning and she was lovely very down to earth. I was shocked at my weight and measurements :cry:I was inspired by her photos and she told me I could exchange any flavours I didnt like and even gave me a free tetra brik to try. So she left at 1130 and I was starving lol, so tried the porridge and loved it, just had a shake and liked that too.

I can do this.

Yes, you definitely can! Minimins is so motivating, so make sure you keep popping in, esp in this first week. Keep a nice big bottle of water with you - I use a litre bottle so that I can ensure I get my 2.5 minimum. It really does help.

Hi AngelMouse, It's my first day too. I saw my CDC yesterday - it took me two weeks to summon up the courage to make the appointment but I am so glad I did. It was a bit of a shock but I needed to have that reality check and come face to face with my actual weight and measurements rather than hiding from them as I have been doing for the last five years. I am so excited(never felt that way about a diet before) and absolutely resolutely determined to reach my goal.

Today has been ok so far and have managed to drink three pints already - thought I would struggle with this as I'm not a big drinker normally. I am trying to curb boredom though (which is when I would normally be raiding the cupboards!) by drinking water instead. Have had porridge and a choc mint shake so far today. Porridge was quite lumpy(is it meant to be like that?), had the shake hot which was yum.

I am so inspired by all the success stories on here - what fantastic achievements!

Could anyone tell me how to add one of those weightloss tickers to my signature please?

I'm on day 3 today and i'm totally addicted to this website! What a bunch of fantastically supportive people! Everyone's so lovely and I feel like I get real support from real people who are going through the same or have gone through the same and have advice/experience to offer. You've done the hardest part now, made the appointment and started.

Can I just ask, once weve done our signature how do we put it on our sig, and is that something we cant do until we have done over 50 posts?

Yes this site is fantastic, everyone is so supportive. I am feeling ok for day 1 and plan just to take a day at a time. I found the porridge a little lumpy but totally scrummy. I am just constantly on the loo I am not used to drinking water at all.

Good luck to us all, we can all do this and be so much more comfortable by the time summer arrives

Thanks Lazyhound - ticker now added! I'm looking forward to seeing that move.

I'm constantly on the loo too! On my fifth pint now - it's keeping the hunger pangs at bay. Hasn't been as bad as I thought today, think day 2 and 3 are going to be worse so preparing myself with lots of positive thought. This site is fab too - think I'm going to spend quite a lot of time on here!

Flobble, do you mean adding the ticker? You have to cut and paste the link it gives you when you've created it into your sig(on UserCP)

Here's to a slimmer fitter Summer 2009 - the one where we all get our shorts out!
