My first food diary.

Hi :)

I'm quite new to slimming world, I joined 6 weeks ago and have so far lost 6lb. I have PCOS so my weight comes off VERY slowly :( but at least it is shifting!
I'm losing weight for upcoming surgery on my gallbladder and for my holiday to the Caribbean in July (woo).
I figured making a diary on here will hopefully keep me on track.

So, lets start.

Breakfast: Banana & 2 tangerines
Drink: Water

Dinner: Wholemeal bread (heb), wafer thin ham, lettuce. 1 syn for extra light marg.
Snacks: Muller Light and packet of space raiders (13g) 3 syns.
Drink: Water

Tea: Slimming world chips, steak fried in fry light, grilled king prawns, salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, celery)
Snacks: 2 mikado for 1 syn, muller light and banana.
Drink: Dr Pepper zero

Water amount today: 4 pints.
Extra snacks: Options hot chocolate 2 syns with 300ml skimmed milk (hea), treat size Crunchie 4 syns.

Total syns:

I've had a good day food wise so far!

Breakfast: Boiled egg, 2 tangerines.
Drink: Water


Dinner: 4 ryvitas (hexb), extra light mayo (1 syn), light marg (1 syn), tuna in brine, cucumber and bowl of spaghetti.
Snack: Muller light.
Drink: Water


Tea: Cod, slimming world chips and mushy peas.
Snack: Treat size crunchie (4 syns) & banana.
Drink: Water


Water amount today: 4 pints
Extra snacks: Space raiders 17g (3 syns)
Hexa: 30g cheddar

Total syns: 9
I still need to use my
hexa for today but unsure what to have it with yet!

I really should get off my bum tonight and do a work out. Last week I went to the gym 4 times and started the c25k, bloody hell it's difficult! I couldn't even run for 60 seconds...
Anyway, it's damaged my calf and knee so I think resting is best, but because I went so much last week I feel like I'm being lazy. I have weigh in tomorrow and think something miraculous will happen over night! I can't see a big loss, if even a loss, which is really disappointing as I've been so good this week (no snacking out of syns, eating superfree etc) and exercised a lot. I am a serial weigher :sigh: and can only see a maintain. Hmpf.

I have been with SW for 5 weeks and have lost 18 lbs, i know i have a long way to go yet =(.. stick with it and you will get there, I hope this encourages you as others on here have encouraged me =)
 
you're doing really well - 6lbs is a fab loss.

I've got PCOS too, and a under active thyroid. I sympathise with you huni :-( it can be difficult but not impossible - plus you've got something to aim for....... I wish I was going to the Caribbean! :-D

I always give my body a rest after running but with a sore calf, my body is definitely telling me to relax it a little, which is fine. Running is so hard on the body! I spent hours on Youtube searching 'how to run properly' !!

I know how my body works, and with me, I love my food (obviously lol) so needed a diet that accommodated to that which is slimming world. I tried the GI diet once and lost 5lbs in a WEEK but I hardly ate and it was horrible. It's going slowly, but it's going down which is the right direction :)

Snack: Mullerlight Greek Style (0.5 syns)
Drink: Water

Tea: Slimming world burgers, wholemeal bun (hexb), cheese (hexa), side salad and corn on the cob.
Snack: Hi fi bar (3 syns)
Drink: Water

Water amount today: 2 and half pints
Extra snacks: Mullerlight Greek Style (0.5 syns), Space raiders (3 syns), Options hot choc (2 syns)

Total syns: 9

Sure I'll find something later on tonight to use my syns on. I'm going to a dance class soon, hopefully shall be a little fun exercise rather than plugging away at the gym for a change!

Oh, I forgot to add, I went to weigh in this afternoon and I've lost a pound :)
At last weeks weigh in I'd put a pound on (I was very naughty over Easter!) so at least it's off and definitely won't be coming back!
Another pound off next weight and I'll have my half a stone :D
 
I went to a dance/fit class this evening with family friends which was loads of fun, none of us had much rhythm...!
I noticed my knee and calf playing up a lot though when I was dancing/exercising so I might have a trip to the docs for it, especially my knee as it's been dodgy for months now.

Dinner: 2 wholemeal bread (400g loaf hexb), 45g mozerella (hexa), cucumber, low fat marg (1 syn)
Snack: Mullerlight Greek Style Lemon (0.5 syns), 17g Space Raiders (3 syns)
Drink: Water

Tea: Slimming world cottage pie, asparagus and beetroot.
Snack: Light rice pudding (4 syns)
Drink: Dr Pepper Zero

Extra snacks: Hi-fi light bar (3 syns), Options hot choc (2 syns)
Water amount: 2 pints

Total syns: 13.5 syns

Just been for a swim too this evening, feels good but it's made my skin really dry!

Dinner: Jacket potato & tuna in brine, side salad.
Drink: Water.

Tea: Pizza pitta bread, corn on the cob.
Drink: Water

Snacks: dark chocolate (6 syns), hi fi bar (3 syns)

Water amount: 2 and half pints.

Total syns: 9

Dinner: Pre-gym food so didn't want anything too filfling!

Brunch: I always treat myself with my Sunday breakfast and have a big fry up - slimming world style!
Grilled bacon, baked beans, grilled mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, fried egg in fry light, 1 slice wholemeal toast (hexb, marg light (1 syn)
Drink: Water

Tea:
Roast chicken (no fat, no skin), asparagus, sweet potato mash, broccoli, carrots, I had the smallest bit of gravy on my mash so I'll put that as (1 syn)
Pudding: Cheesecake (4 syns)
Drink: Water

Extra snacks: Malteaser bar (9 syns), 300ml skimmed milk (hexa)
Water amount: 2 pints (not enough!)

Total syns: 15

Total exercise for past week:


Wednesday: Dance class mixed in with bums and tums - 90 minutes.

Thursday: Swimming - 20 lengths - 45 minutes.

Saturday: Gym - 10 minutes rower level 6, 20 minutes treadmill doing c25k, 10 minutes bike machine level 10, 10 minutes multiple weights.

Sunday: Gym (as above)
 
Today's food:

Breakfast: 2 alpen light bars (hexb), banana
Drink: Water


Dinner: wafer thin ham slices, 2 boiled eggs, cheese slice (hexa) lettuce, cucumber, tomato
Snack: Greek Muller light (0.5 syns)
Drink:
Dr Pepper Zero


Tea: Stir fry (egg noodles, soy sauce and lots of superfree - cabbage, carrots, beansprouts, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, sugar snap peas)
Drink: Water

Snacks: space raiders (3 syns), curly wurly (6 syns),can of lilt (3.5 syns)

Total syns: 13

Will finish the rest of my syns whilst watching tonight's Broadchurch, hopefully it will be a good 'un!
Just weighed myself (oops, official SW weigh in at group is Wednesdays) and it was flitting between 16.0 and 16.1 so I know at least a pound is off this week. I have the gym tomorrow so hopefully by Wednesday it will be a definite 16.0!
