    Hi all
Well had my weigh in tonight and it wasn't as bad as I thought as I'd had a mad weekend in Newcastle, drinking until early hours then scoffing burgers at 4.30am then doing it all over again the next night :D!
I weighed in at 13st 51/2lb and my goal weight is 9st 7lb. Just thinking of it is making me all excited, I've even just cooked dh a pizza and completely resisted and had ham sarnie (may have something to do with having 6 Roses choccies and 2 packets of crisps this afternoon at my mums - or does that count as they weren't mine so weren't my points lol! I blame her for having such scrummy food in).
My first goal is getting to 12st which is the 10%, do I put that in the signature box as well as the ticker code?
Anyway, I'm on track now and will do my Tesco online shopping in a mo (Starlight - I've checked out the quorn stuff and will order some of it in).
Totally focused on it although I have got a hen night this Saturday and it's an indian followed by drinks around town so I think I'll save 4 points each day to allow for it.
Wooohooo I feel all energised :party0049:!
Well that's it for now, will keep you all posted and will defo be having a nosey at all your diaries to keep me in check.
    xx

    Nails, I have a question ...

    Are you "Nails" because;

    1) You are as hard as "nails" ?
    2) You have lovely "nails" ?
    3) You do false "nails" ?
    4) You are some sort of joiner ?

    Lol Dobo
I called myself nails because when I recently joined mumsnet there are so many users on there all the other names I could think of were taken and I joined the CD bit and heard about minimins from there so I carried it over here. Also I would actually love to have nice long nails but unfortunately they never really grow and I have been told by a lovely friend that they look like toenails! So nothing interesting really just kind of fell into it :D

Tonight's Davina night, not just BB but i've decided to dust off my Davina exercise dvd and go for it. It's going to be funny seeing dh's face as I'm wobbling around in front of him :giggle: but what the hell it's all for a good cause! Got to decide whether to do the Power of Three or the 30 mins workout. Has anyone done any of Davina's exercise dvd's? If so what do you think of them?
Will obviously report back and let you know how it goes.

Ooh, good luck with the work out - I refuse to do them because I think the sight of my giant wobbling butt cheek bouncing around the room would scare my little girl...as for OH, well he'd just leave me, lol!!

I've never seen a Davina one before, so let us know how you get on. I've got the Charlie Brooks one somewhere, which I did attempt to do once, but it was SUCH hard work - I don't think I even got half way through, heehee.

In a few months time when we're all skinny minis we can all get together and make our own Skinny-Minis workout dvd! It'll sell like hotcakes with all us honeys on it!! Lol!

Lol Marie, I'll let you know how it goes!
Skinny-Minis is a fantastic name for it, or we could call ourselves (inspired from a message from someone, can't remember who, to Starlight about her being Starquorn) The QuornStars workout! Mind you it may be a bit misleading lol!
Anyway thanks for the support and report back afterwards providing I haven't collapsed into a wobbling heap on the floor :D
    Thanks for the support :)

The Quornstars is definitely misleading, though it could improve the sales figures! Lol!

Good luck with your workout - hope you manage to get through it without having to call 999, lol!!!

    Hi all
Well I decided to do the 30 minute workout and boy was it intense, I didn't realise I could sweat so much in 1/2hr
    Feel good for it though.
I had such a scrummy dinner, I had those quorn steaks and they were yum! I've saved 4 points today as well and don't feel hungry in the slightest, although I must admit I am on a high. I truly don't thing I've ever felt so enthusiastic about a diet and I have you lot to thank for that. Your support has been fantastic, ooooo come 'ere and give me a hug :grouphugg:
Thanks for being so lovely and welcoming to me. Will keep you all posted.

    Hi Nails,

I tried Davina's workout (borrowed from my sister) and it was murder! I think I will stick to walking with the muts for now.
Hope you enjoy the hen-night, I love them!

    Hi andi
It was very hard, I did feel good afterwards for doing it.
I'm really looking forward to the hen night and with Starlights help in posting the points for an indian I can gage roughly how many I'll be eating, infact my usual indian is nearly 2 days worth of points , top that with alcohol and it's way over :giggle:so I'm deciding whether to go without a naan or rice, I'll see how I feel on the night. I'll steer clear of starters or side orders as I find indian really filling anyway and I've rarely polished a whole one off.
Will let you know how it goes.
    xx

Just got back from my friends hen night, why I'm on here I don't know, feeling very squiffy but just wanted to check in (I'm probably going to regret posting this in the morning)! Had most of a lamb bhuna, 2 (big) spoons of rice and a quarter of a naan which wouldn't have been too bad. BUT had loads of wine which probably hasn't helped, will be back on it tomorrow though (the diet, not the wine!).
I saw people tonight that I hadn't seen in years and felt that they were thinking to themselves that I'd put on a lot of weight  I just felt like hiding away.
Won't let it beat me though, I'm so determind to do this, not for them, for myself.
Anyway enough of my drunken ramblings.
Thank you all for being here for me.
    xx

Aww, you poor thing, I think most of us can relate to that 'hiding away' feeling. You won't feel like that for long though, soon you'll be begging people to come out just so you can show off your new figure!! ;)

Sounds like you had a good night - hope you're not too hungover today though, heehee

    Thanks Marie :hug99:
I did have a lovely night, it's just that feeling is hard to shake. As you say though, not for much longer :D
Can't believe I posted while tipsy, this site is far too addictive!
Pleased to say I had no hangover at all this morning :D (may have something to do with my mum having the kids overnight and me sleeping in until 11.30  :giggle:)
Thank you for your lovely words, I'll let you know how I get on on Tuesday, not holding my breath for a really good first week though after last night. I've also got a wedding next Saturday as well (probably not the best time to start ww!), I'll try my hardest to resist coming home from there and typing a message on here as I've not been posting for long and you'll all think I'm some kind of drunkard!
Anyway onwards and upwards (or should I say downwards?? lol), totally determind to do it and once again would like to thank everyone for their support :).
    xx

    Hi nails,

I sooo know what you mean about meeting people you havent seen in a while and wanting to hide. It is not so much the weight I have gained but that and what a twin pregnancy did to my figure that has me deeply insecure. My h thinks that I use the pregnancy as an excuse but the stretched skin and the cesarean - well its not pretty! I think even Gok Wan (how to look good naked) would run scared!
I bet that you have a great first weigh-in. Good luck - we are all here waiting to hear how you got on with a big hug!
