    So i figured i should start my own diary so i can keep track of things and hopefully get advice on things i could improve on.
    I went shopping yesterday and have stocked my fridge and freezer.
    This morning i had a pre atkins breakfast of Bacon and Eggs to give myself an idea of what im in for! I have to say it was very yummy....whether i'll think the same in two weeks is a different story! Lol

    Thanks ladies! Dizzy, no i havent. My friend is doing Low Carb and i figured i would try this. Thought it would be easier if the two of us could support each other! I have tried, WW, SW and Cambridge Diet and have had little to no success with any! I am hoping Atkins will change that!! :)

    Hi it definitely helps if your both motivated, a bit of competition and someone to moan too!! Have a good read through all the stickies you,ll pick up loads of tips and help.

    Good morning Di! :wavey:

    Well day one today and so far so good!

    B: 3x bacon 3x egg scrambled.
    L: Tuna with lettuce, cucumber and Mayo
    D: - not sure yet, will check back later! lol


    I was planning on having a protein shake between meals if i got hungry but it has 8g of carbs per serving...that is quite a lot isnt it?

    There are protein shakes out there that are much lower in carb if you need them for exercise.
    Have you read Jim's sticky? It's great and full of tips.

    Oops! Lol

    I have Atkins shakes and they are about 2 or 3 carbs... I prefer the vanilla powder it feels thicker and makes me feel fuller... Although the coffee one is great too! Lol

    Good luck with it... You will get the hang of it very soon :)

    Thanks everyone! Di, i think i might have to look into the Atkins shakes!

    I am having Steak for dinner with grated cheese on top with Brocoli! Im so hungry!

    Im also having a bit of trouble with Acid in my throat...i cant take ant acids for it can i?

    Thanks Jim, Im actually feeling better today so didnt need to take any, but ill bear that in mind for future!

    So, day two, going well so far....

    B: 2x eggs scrambled with a little butter, 1x bacon, 3x black farmers daughter chipolata's, they work out at 1g of carbs per 100g. They were DELICIOUS!

    L: mattesons smoked sausage (i was in a hurry this morning and didnt have time to grab a salad!)

    D: 3x egg omlette with cheese (cooked in butter) , 3x BFD chipolata's, 2x bacon (cooked in olive oil), 1tbsp Mayo.

    I feel really gross...i have only had 3g of carbs today and didnt have any veg :(.
    I had my flu jab today and was feeling unwell when i got home from work with a headache so i went to bed for a little while. By the time i got up i realised i hadnt taken any meat out of the freezer for dinner...I will have to be more prepared tomorrow. I have drank nearly 2L of water today though, im going to try for a bit more before bed!
