New and stuck at a 20lb loss- please help!

Hi, my name is Leslieann, I'm trying to lose about 20-30 lbs. I am doing a cardio workout 2-3xs a week. I'd like to start some light weightlifting soon.

I take a multi-vitamin daily and 1 meal replacement shake every couple of days.

I have lost 20 lbs since 12-1-09 but am now stuck and not losing anymore.

Can anyone suggest ANYTHING to help me get back to losing?

Most diets have a plateau phase, your building muscle which weighs more than fat,or is it maybe you are at your natural weight. This is a difficult one to answer without more info. I sometimes think the tape is more important than the scales. Welcome to the board.

Hi, I hit that stage too. It's so furstrating. I was weighing myself so much that it was becoming an issue. I have put the scales away until the 9March and I am now concerntrating on my fitness and getting the right diet going.

I would probably say go and see your GP see what they reccomend.

i was Orlisat for a little while but it was horrendous, so I wouldn't reccomend that.

Perhaps your body needs a bit of a change. If you are interested in pills your doctor is the best person to talk to.

What about changing the type of exercise you do too
