What a difference losing 57 pounds makes! I used to do a lot of walking but weight gain and my former habit of smoking over 20 a day started to impact upon my enjoyment and ability to go out on hikes.
I would really like to take up this hobby again, I had a great weekend walking in The Lakes about 8 years ago.
Well done for your achievements!

Fairplay hun, i'm most impressed. My OH loves hiking, but never gets to do it much. I've always made excuses as i was too fat and unfit, and lazy, if the truth be known. Starting to rethink things and now think it would be a lovely hobby to take up, you are inspiring! may just suprise him and ask if we can go for a family ramble next day off together. Great losses btw xx

I thought that I was hallucinating, what are you doing up at this strange hour. Another insomniac or night worker. I ought to log off soon as got to be up at 8am and will regret lack of sleep in a few hours!
Hope you are not awake because you are hungry!

(Sorry Witchypoo for hijacking thread)
Not hallucinating, stuck at work till 8am. Just finished a load of work and just can't be bothered to do anything else. My head is still in Devon on holiday. You have to be up at 8- my god that would kill me, i hate mornings....

Ah butterfly, hope that the night goes quickly for you. I did several years of night duty at a nursing home, I was then a full-time mature student so it was a good way to earn a desperately needed income and work hours that fitted in with study/placements.
I used to hate being on nights when the clock went back an hour, I can remember a heavy shift of 13 hours that I thought would never come to an end.
I will probably drink a fair bit of black coffee during the day, luckily I am office based and completing some admin tasks for myself so it shouldn't be too bad.
Off to bed, its been nice chatting!
