Attack New to Dukan, starting today

    Hi all. Ive tried basically every diet out there and failed miserably with them all. I have a night out in two weeks and im looking to shed some weight to look nice. Any tips on meal ideas on the attack phase would be great. Lets see how i get on...

    Im a bit confused about this diet and confess i havnt read the book, i know a friend who did this diet and didnt lose weight so i would like to get this right. What exactly can i eat on attack days? As much meat as i would like?

    hi littlemiss,

    welcome over here.

    on attack your allowed a whole list of meats like chicken, steak, beef, lots of fish, you have to make sure you have 1 and half tablespoons of oatbran each day, this fills you up, you can also have fat free natural yogurt, fat free cottage cheese, fat free quark, fat free fromage frais, along with spices.

    i would definately recomend you doing alot of research before you start so you can get the foods in and prepare.

    ive just finished day 2 of attack, have a look at my diary in the dukan diarys section to see the kinds of foods ive been eating.

    you'll do it, stick to plan and you'll feel great for your night out in 2 weeks x

    Hey LilMissHopeful! I'm on my last day of attack and thought I'd comment since you and I have similar weight loss goals. The big differences I've found between this and Atkins is you can't just eat any old meat/cheese etc it all has to be lean/extra lean meat and low fat/no fat cheese so don't make that mistake. I've been making homemade turkey burgers; turkey mince/egg to bind/herbs and I've had them with a little cottage cheese. As a rule you have to have 1.5 tablespoons of oat bran a day, this is absolutely non-negotiable so get that asap, it helps with all of your recipes x On the plus side I've not been hungry once and 2 days until my first week weigh in I've already lost 3lbs, I'm happy with that ;)
