New to site, new to Exante.....just ordered month's supply

Hey Clardie - how was your trip to the restaurant? I'm being a bit of a social recluse this week to avoid the inevitable questions that will go with people seeing me have just a bar and water!

Good day today - lots of housework done. About to settle down to my last pack of thr day - tomato and basil soup :cry:Next time I order some packs I'll definitely be a bit more selective!!

Im missing my weekend wine though.....:boohoo:

Hope you're all having good weekends! Xx

Hello :)

Hmmmm, I don't think I'll be repeating it any time soon. It was more the vino that I really wanted! Still, no hangover on Sun :D

Keeping busy is the trick....your house will be sparkling in no time! Hope you got through the weekend ok. Not long 'til your 1st weigh-in. Exciting! x

Hey Clardie - well done on surviving the restaurant experience! It must have been really hard. I've got a weekend with the out-laws to get through this weekend. Haven't quite worked out what my strategy will be yet. I might go on the Working Solution for a couple of days- have you tried it yet?

It's my official weigh in day tomorrow but I have already had a sneak peak at the scales and I'm pleased so far!! I think all the water I'm drinking is doing the world of good for my puffy ankles and stuff too :)

I should have the pack of 3 water flavourings arriving tomorrow which Im looking forward to trying. I know it's naughty but I ordered a few of the porridge and carbonara shakes from eBay just to try before committing to a large box of them direct from Exante! I hear very mixed reviews about the carbonara......

Im well into ketosis now according to the sticks. I'm bloomin freezing as well, which is not helped by this weather!!:gen125:

Hope you're doing ok? Xxx

Yay - weight in day today. I'm out of the 13's and into the 12's! I weight 12st 13lbs this morning, so I'm 9lbs down :) So pleased.

I've got a long way to go, but it's a step in the right direction! Xx

Fantastic result....good on ya  It's such a great feeling to get down into the next stone bracket. I just wish I could skip the 12s and be in the 11s. You'll just have to wear your woolly knick-knacks for a while ha!

I haven't tried the porridge and pasta....be interested to see what you make of them. Shakes and bars does get very borrrring!

I'm back on TS after my 4 week break....doing ok so far :) I've got a wedding next weekend...I'll need to hide in the loo when the champs is on the go :(

How're you getting on jael?

C xx

Hi hon, I'm doing great thanks. I'm 1lb up from having Passover meals the last 2 nights but that'll be gone quickly again and I'm relieved to be back on TS and back into a routine.

I like the pasta but it's not for everyone. It's nice to have a different taste and texture for a change. I've only tried 1 porridge on my first week, need to give it another go cos I didnt make it to the right consistency. I didnt mind the taste though, it reminded me of Horlicks.

Thanks guys - I'm really pleased.

Its so hard to stay on track when life gets in the way isn't it. Part of me wants to become a total recluse until all of the weight is gone, buts it's just not practical and not really fair on my family. Jael - you did really well to only be a pound up after your Passover celebrations. I think I'd have gone mad on all of the lovely food!

Clardie - I know what you mean about the champers. My in-laws see big drinkers so they're going to think I'm really strange (or secretly pregnant!) when I avoid the booze this weekend!! Ah well - needs must :)

Hope everyone had good days xx

Jael, that's not bad at all...and like you said that wee 1lb will go very quickly. You seem to be really focused on getting back into it. I thought I would struggle, but this week's been ok.

Yeah Kate, it would be ideal if we could just slink off to a retreat until it's all over, but we're strong and we will get through the champs temptations etc! Stepping away from grub has made me realise how much of my socialising revolves around it. I'll have to take up healthier hobbies :) Haha...a false pregnancy is a bit extreme, but it would work :giggle:

I'm thinking about heading back to the gym tonight. Just thinking. We'll see!

Have a good day, folks xx

4lbs off....and in the 12s. It is a Good Friday :D

Have a great Easter weekend, all! x

Oh Clardie!! You've weighed in!! Brilliant, brilliant loss and how good it is to be out of a stone bracket!! You must be really pleased.

Im actually quite scared about the prospect of the weekend and potential for dieting disaster. With a big family Easter meal planned and hubby's birthday to contend with (and a house full of Easter Eggs).....I worry I might crack......no pun intended!!

Looking in the mirror this morning, my face actually looks different-less puffy and I believe I can see what I think are my cheekbones.....it's been so long since I last saw them!!

I know what you mean about getting healthier hobbies. I've found it hard in the evenings where I'd usually be cooking a meal or planning the next nights meal. Ive had to take myself away from the kitchen, leave hubby to cook, and go and read a book / have a bath. Not very sociable though!! Not to mention all the lunches / dinners I've turned down with friends these last couple of weeks. I just keep telling myself it will all be worth it.

What are you guys up to for Easter? Xxxx

Thank-you, Kate....I'm very chuffed! I'll admit to almost falling off the wagon last night. I wandered around Tesco with a couple of things in my hand....and then I put them back and went home and had a shake. I'd had a bad day at work. Definitely a trigger for wanting to munch. But, I'm proud I resisted and my result today has definitely spurred me on.

Aw, I'm so glad that you're noticing a difference already. Just think what your lovely cheekbones will look like in another couple of weeks time :)

It is a very boring journey and you feel like you're missing out some times, but it will be worth it. I can just about imagine feeling confident for the summer (if we get one!).

Not a huge amount planned. A day out with my Mum tomorrow....and some painting on Sun/Mon (bleugh).

I'm sure you'll be egg-stremely strong and resist all the Easter weekend goodies :) Have a good one! xx

Hey, Kate, Clardie suggested I pop over to your diary, so that's what i@m doing, just saying hello and welcome to the site and diet. :) How are you getting on? Can't believe you've already lost 9lbs, I didn't get there until week 3 I think. Well done!

Hi, I hope you don't mind me joining this thread, not only am I new to exante (starting tomorrow, complete exante virgin!) but I am also new to minimins! I have been reading the posts avidly for the past couple of weeks, having made the decision to give it a go. I so hope I get results like I have seen posted on here!!

Hello and welcome, Frenchie! I'm sure you'll see results quickly. I was new to minimins myself when I started on Exante, that was about 4 weeks ago, but already it feels like it's been ages. Everyone here is so welcoming, supportive and encouraging. It's great. I don't like to tell all my friends and coworkers that I'm on a diet, don't need the extra pressure or dubious comments. I find minimins is the perfect way for me to be held accountable. ;) All the best with start to a new you, Frenchie! :)

Sorry, Kate, hope you don't think I'm highjacking your thread.

Thank you Trickshot. I'm aiming to lose 1.5 stone (2 if I can) in 10 weeks. I dropped my OH at the air base this evening for his 10 week deployment to Oman and so its my ideal chance to lose the weight... what a surprise for him when he gets back! Have lost weight on the slimming world diet before (6 stone tbh) but have put 1 stone back on in the past year (new relationship, got comfy....) and want rid of it again now. Quite excited now!

Wow, that must be tough, I know what it's like to have family all over the world and not seeing them as much as I want - my stepdad was a Colonel in the US Air Force but saying goodbye to a husband is a whole different ballgame I guess. So this diet thing might be a good way to take your mind off things. ;) And yes, that would be a great surprise. That is, if he will notice..! He might be too excited to see you and in his head you're probably slim anyway, heehee. :)
